Background

Sirin lost her mother during the Amatsukami disaster when she was twelve. After a short period of displacement, she was selected as the wielder of the Imperial Blades of Heaven and entered the demon-slaying campaign against Izumo’s Oni Gods. Her mother’s death left her with lasting resentment toward Amatsukami, the Heavenly Blade that chose her, and Welt. 14 49

Her exceptionally high compatibility with the Heavenly Blade made her one of Izumo’s most valuable Blade Masters. Although she repeatedly insists that she never wanted the position and would rather retire, she continued fighting on the front lines for years, saving other Blade Masters despite the risks of Oniification and blade corrosion. 14 31 43

During Takemikazuchi’s premature descent, Sirin isolated the Oni God inside an Imaginary Space to buy time for civilian evacuation. She was severely wounded when the space collapsed, but managed to return the Heavenly Blade to the mortal realm before losing consciousness. Kiana later found and rescued her. 15 23 24

Following Izumo’s collapse, Sirin remained with the Ark’s survivors. She later led the Izumo Merchant Guild, sought outside support through Herta Space Station, and proposed transforming the Ark into a new Izumo rather than merely treating it as a refugee vessel. 98 99 166

Appearance

Sirin is a purple-haired young woman with unusual golden eyes marked by distinct X-shaped pupils. Oniification has altered her aging, leaving her physically older than her original age. 14 50

Personality

Initially, Sirin is cynical about friendship and openly dismissive of the idea of becoming close to fellow Blade Masters, viewing them instead as comrades who might die at any time. Her bluntness, sarcasm, and frequent complaints about wanting to retire often make her seem unreliable. 14 15

Despite this attitude, Sirin is fiercely responsible in battle. She refuses to abandon civilians or comrades, keeps her promises—including a massive debt to Kiana—and is willing to risk herself against enemies she knows may overpower her. 15 27 30

Kiana’s rescue changes her outlook. Sirin grows deeply loyal to Kiana, trusts her judgment even when Izumo’s leadership is suspicious, and becomes openly protective of her. Imperial Blades of Heaven

Sirin is the uniquely compatible wielder of the Imperial Blades of Heaven, an Edict Blade associated with spatial manipulation. Blade Masters require compatibility above ninety percent to use an Edict Blade without fatal corrosion; Sirin’s compatibility is exceptional enough that no other active Blade Master could wield Heaven after her presumed death. 14 27
