Background

Sirin lost her mother during the Amatsukami disaster when she was twelve. After a short period of displacement, she was selected as the wielder of the Imperial Blades of Heaven and entered the demon-slaying campaign against Izumo’s Oni Gods. Her mother’s death left her with lasting resentment toward Amatsukami, the Heavenly Blade that chose her, and Welt. 14 49

Her exceptionally high compatibility with the Heavenly Blade made her one of Izumo’s most valuable Blade Masters. Although she repeatedly insists that she never wanted the position and would rather retire, she continued fighting on the front lines for years, saving other Blade Masters despite the risks of Oniification and blade corrosion. 14 31 43

During Takemikazuchi’s premature descent, Sirin isolated the Oni God inside an Imaginary Space to buy time for civilian evacuation. She was severely wounded when the space collapsed, but managed to return the Heavenly Blade to the mortal realm before losing consciousness. Kiana later found and rescued her. 15 23 24

Following Izumo’s collapse, Sirin remained with the Ark’s survivors. She later led the Izumo Merchant Guild, sought outside support through Herta Space Station, and proposed transforming the Ark into a new Izumo rather than merely treating it as a refugee vessel. 98 99 166

Appearance

Sirin is a purple-haired young woman with unusual golden eyes marked by distinct X-shaped pupils. Oniification has altered her aging, leaving her physically older than her original age. 14 50

  • Purple hair. 14
  • Golden irises with X-shaped markings. 14
  • Bears signs of Oniification, though her high compatibility with the Heavenly Blade greatly suppresses its visible effects. 31 50

Personality

Initially, Sirin is cynical about friendship and openly dismissive of the idea of becoming close to fellow Blade Masters, viewing them instead as comrades who might die at any time. Her bluntness, sarcasm, and frequent complaints about wanting to retire often make her seem unreliable. 14 15

Despite this attitude, Sirin is fiercely responsible in battle. She refuses to abandon civilians or comrades, keeps her promises—including a massive debt to Kiana—and is willing to risk herself against enemies she knows may overpower her. 15 27 30

Kiana’s rescue changes her outlook. Sirin grows deeply loyal to Kiana, trusts her judgment even when Izumo’s leadership is suspicious, and becomes openly protective of her. Over time, her leadership becomes calmer and more deliberate, particularly in her efforts to secure a future for the Ark’s survivors. 34 57 120 166

Abilities & Skills

Imperial Blades of Heaven

Sirin is the uniquely compatible wielder of the Imperial Blades of Heaven, an Edict Blade associated with spatial manipulation. Blade Masters require compatibility above ninety percent to use an Edict Blade without fatal corrosion; Sirin’s compatibility is exceptional enough that no other active Blade Master could wield Heaven after her presumed death. 14 27

  • Opens and traverses Imaginary Space, including entering battlefields through spatial transfer. 15 28
  • Created an Imaginary Space to contain Takemikazuchi and delay its advance during evacuation efforts. 15
  • Generates spatial barriers capable of blocking or redirecting enemy attacks. 28 54
  • Uses Void Descent to seal space around targets and bind them with chains from the void. 30
  • Opens rifts for storage and transport, including carrying large quantities of Demon Blades. 42 43
  • The blade’s spatial travel has a cost; Sirin is uncertain of her limits when attempting extremely long-distance teleportation. 61
  • The Heavenly Blade also assists the Ark’s warp jumps by supplying energy and support. 164

Oni God Combat

Sirin is a veteran Oni God slayer whose experience predates her meeting with Kiana by many years.

  • Fought Takemikazuchi alone, injured it severely, and later restrained it so Raiden Mei could deliver the killing blow. 30 32
  • Can continue fighting while exhausted and severely injured, maintaining her grip on the Heavenly Blade even when near collapse. 30
  • Uses her blade to support allied combatants rather than relying solely on direct offense, such as providing Kiana footholds over open water. 47
  • Her high Heavenly Blade compatibility leaves her almost unaffected by Oni God corrosion under normal conditions, unlike many other Blade Masters. 31

Command and Diplomacy

Sirin later applies her battlefield experience to the Ark’s political survival and long-term development.

  • Negotiated with Herta for aid in reclaiming Izumo, offering rare Honkai-related artifacts rather than accepting a monetary deal. 99 100
  • Proposed the Ark Project: rebuilding the Ark into a new Izumo with its own future and identity. 166
  • Represents the Ark alongside Bronya in diplomatic contact with the Xianzhou Luofu. 169 170

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Imperial Blades of Heaven / Heavenly Blade — Sirin’s Edict Blade and primary weapon; enables her spatial abilities. 27 28
  • Demon Blade stockpile — Sirin maintained a large stored inventory of Demon Blades, which she gave to Kiana as repayment and support. 42
  • Terminal — Used to investigate missing-person notices, maintain contacts, and coordinate the search for Kiana and Raiden Mei. 102 115

Relationships

  • Kiana — Savior, close friend, and the person Sirin trusts most readily. Kiana rescued her from a collapsing Imaginary Space; Sirin later defended her unconditionally before Izumo’s leadership and considers her central to the Ark’s survival. 23 57 167
  • Raiden Mei / Yomi — Fellow survivor and wielder of the Resonating Blade. Their relationship is frequently strained, particularly after Sirin helped Kiana take Mei away from Izumo, but they still cooperated for the Ark Project and its survivors. 32 119 166
  • Yae Sakura — Fellow Blade Master and early conversational partner. Sirin initially mocks Sakura’s views on friendship, but the two share mutual familiarity and battlefield trust. 14 15 41
  • Welt — A former comrade toward whom Sirin holds a long-standing grudge. Their encounters are tense, though they exchange information about Honkai, Izumo, and Kiana when necessary. 33 102 103
  • Bronya — Ark Project collaborator. Bronya helps turn Sirin’s initial proposal into a practical plan and joins her in negotiations with the Luofu. 166 170
  • Herta — Potential ally and business contact. Sirin approached Herta Space Station through the Merchant Guild to seek help reclaiming Izumo. 98 99

Story Role / Major Arcs

Takemikazuchi Campaign

Sirin confronts Takemikazuchi alone, creates an Imaginary Space to delay it, and is nearly killed when the space collapses. After Kiana rescues and heals her, she returns to the battlefield, seals Takemikazuchi with Void Descent, and helps Raiden Mei kill it. 15 23 28 30 32

Blade Master Alliance

After learning of Honkai energy from Kiana, Sirin supports Kiana and Mei’s efforts against corrupted Oni Gods. She protects Mei’s freedom as the Resonating Blade’s chosen wielder and deliberately discourages the Blade Masters’ headquarters from pressuring Mei into service. 33 36

Defense of Kiana

When Izumo’s leadership questions Kiana’s motives, Sirin openly rejects their suspicions and leaves the meeting rather than accept their treatment of the person who saved her. She continues warning Kiana about potential betrayals within Izumo’s power structure. 57 58

Ark and Merchant Guild

After Izumo becomes a Honkai-ravaged forbidden zone, Sirin leads survivors through the Ark and serves as President of the Izumo Merchant Guild. Her attempts to cooperate with Herta are motivated by two goals: confirming Kiana’s survival and finding a way to reclaim Izumo. 98 99 102

New Izumo

Sirin ultimately advocates building a new Izumo on the Ark rather than remaining defined by the loss of their homeworld. As the Ark’s leader, she seeks technical exchange and diplomatic backing from the Xianzhou Luofu. 166 169 170

Notable Quotes

“It’s precisely because she risked her life to save me from the collapsing Imaginary Space that I trust her unconditionally.” 57

“We have accepted the past. Please... accept the past failures too.” 166

Trivia

  • Sirin initially rejected the idea of friendship, but later became determined to be Kiana’s friend after Kiana saved her. 14 27
  • She calculated her repayment to Kiana as the equivalent energy of five thousand low-level Oni Gods. 27
  • Kiana once asked Sirin whether she wanted to become a magical girl; Sirin declined, citing her Imperial Blades. 42
  • Sirin arranged legal identification for Kiana with notable speed. 49
