Background / History
The Primordial Universe is a vast mythological universe containing the Human Realm, Heavenly Court, Underworld, Buddhist forces, ancient ruins, and innumerable civilizations. Its inhabitants include powerful Sages descended from an ancient civilization said to have existed seventy billion years earlier. Its worlds vary greatly in size, stability, and rules; some are chaotic rule worlds whose Heavenly Dao Cores can be claimed by finding their Children of Destiny 277 354 355.
The universe became accessible to Zhu Zhengwei’s Players through a Journey to the West–themed map. Players entered as reincarnators under strict restrictions: they had to behave as natives, conceal the Main God Space, and avoid altering the main storyline 338 339.
Yin–Yang Imbalance
The Primordial Universe’s development was tied to the Dreamscape’s Yin–Yang structure. Normally, miners’ mental computing power split between controllable Yang-side power and uncontrollable Yin-side residual power. After a major anomaly, the Yin Side expanded while the Yang-side Ancestor Shaman World remained static, changing the ratio from 1:1 to 100,000,000:1 316.
This explosive Yin-side growth was later attributed in part to the arrival of Bor Universe Sages. Their souls—representing 30% of the Bor Universe’s total energy—entered the Primordial Universe, causing its Yin-side energy to surge 405.
Expansion into the Outer Domain
The Primordial Universe expanded through Chang’an City’s innovations and through incursions into the Outer Chaos Domain. Following the Tang Emperor’s campaigns and the establishment of a Silk Road, major clans began invading lower-level outer civilizations for resources and Heavenly Dao Cores 355.
Its expansion also used the Void Realm Chessboard, through which new worlds could be plundered for their cores 355. These generated worlds could possess radically different laws, such as virus-based worlds whose core required locating a corresponding Child of Destiny 354.

Journey to the West Integration
Zhu Zhengwei established a foothold in the Primordial World through Zhen Yuanzi at Wuzhuang Temple and an internal contact in Great Tang. He judged that the universe’s innumerable beings would not notice a small number of Players entering it 339.
The first Players arrived at East Sea Bay, where they established settlements, assigned talent points, farmed, built homes, and trained in combat. The game’s talent system framed the Primordial Universe as a harsh mythological world in which aptitude, bloodline, and Destiny shaped one’s prospects 339.
Sage Conflict and the Bor Universe Invasion
The Primordial Universe became the target of a coordinated Bor Universe Sage operation. Zhu Zhengwei, Zhang Bairen, and their allies ambushed Empress Houtu, intending to plunder her Sage foundations and Magic Treasures before other Sages could intervene 443 444.
The attack fractured trust among the Primordial Sages. Sect Master Tongtian pursued the attackers while believing Houtu to be responsible for the rebellion, even as Houtu realized she had been framed by Zhen Yuanzi’s scheme 446.
Hongjun’s Reconstruction
During the war, Hongjun revealed himself as a hidden half-seated Creation God. He wielded a primal force capable of reconstructing the Primordial Universe, overturning the battle’s balance 448.
Hongjun subsequently transformed the Primordial Universe into a Yang Side Universe. This conversion made its Sages more controllable to him and was part of his effort to consolidate Creation God authority 450.
Collapse of Reality
Hongjun later sought to create a new Primordial universe by devouring the Real Universe’s matter. As Reality entered cosmic contraction, matter was transferred into the forming universe and new worlds were continuously born 455.
The Primordial Universe became the principal battlefield against Outer Domain Heavenly Demons. Its fate became inseparable from the struggle between Hongjun, the Dark Side Universe, and other hidden Creation Gods 455 468.
