Smoke, Choke the Su Family

Su Chen pointed at the damp plaster in the corner and along the walls of his bedroom and said to Tao Ma.

"Tao Ma, can't you see it?"

"My room is too damp. I need to light a fire and dry it out!"

Tao Ma froze. She hadn't expected Young Master Chen's reason for playing with fire to be this.

Then an awkward look flashed across Tao Ma's face.

Of course she knew Young Master Chen's bedroom was damp.

After all, this room had once been her storage room.

Keeping the room neat and clean was part of Tao Ma's duties.

But Tao Ma felt that she already had enough work to do every day. Where would she find the time to dehumidify Young Master Chen's room?!

Besides, Young Master Chen had never asked for it himself, so Tao Ma had simply pretended not to know.

But Tao Ma hadn't expected that Young Master Chen also disliked the dampness in his room. He had actually started lighting fires indoors just to get rid of it.

Tao Ma was panicking inside.

So Young Master Chen playing with fire was actually her responsibility?!

"Young Master Chen, you don't need to light a fire to dehumidify the room."

"Tomorrow, Tao Ma will find some charcoal dehumidifier bags to put in your room, then apply to Mr. Su for a dehumidifier. Your room won't be damp anymore."

Su Chen was so angry he laughed.

"Then why have I been at the Su family for two years, with my room always this damp, yet you never once dehumidified it for me?!"

"Tao Ma, keeping the room clean and tidy is your responsibility."

"Is this how you do your job?"

Tao Ma couldn't stop herself from trembling.

Why was Young Master Chen so hard to talk to today?!

Before, as long as she gave a slight explanation, whatever happened would just pass.

Looking at Young Master Chen's cold, stern face, Tao Ma felt as though she could see Mr. Su's imposing presence in him.

Meanwhile, in the master bedroom on the second floor of the Su Family Villa.

Su Zhenxing and Liu Yanran had already changed into pajamas and were preparing to sleep.

Who knew where all the smoke had drifted in from? It not only filled the room so thickly that they could barely see.

More importantly, the smoke choked Su Zhenxing and Liu Yanran terribly.

Su Zhenxing and Liu Yanran had both grown up in luxury. They had never even stepped into a kitchen—when had they ever been choked by smoke like this?!

They coughed until their lungs hurt, tears streaming from their eyes, feeling as though they were about to cough their lungs out.

Su Zhenxing and Liu Yanran coughed as they headed out of the bedroom.

Only after stepping outside did they discover that the smoke in the hallway was even thicker.

Su Zhenxing and Liu Yanran coughed even harder.

Su Zhenxing flew into a rage.

Liu Yanran was furious too.

What was going on?!

How was Tao Ma doing her job?!

Where had all this smoke come from?!

Just as Su Zhenxing and Liu Yanran were about to go downstairs and summon Tao Ma for an explanation, Su Lili, Su Qiqi, and Su Mu could no longer withstand the smoke either. Their eyes red and brimming with tears, coughing as though they were about to die, they emerged one after another from their bedrooms.

The members of the Su family met in the hallway, coughing as they stared at one another.

None of them knew what had happened.

Confused and furious, the Su family decided to go downstairs together and hold Tao Ma accountable.

How was she doing her job?!

She had actually let so much smoke fill the villa.

They had coughed so hard their lungs were about to come out.

And so, with Su Zhenxing leading the way and the rest of the Su family following behind him, the group made their way downstairs, all bent over with their heads lowered as they coughed.

Coupled with the smoke swirling through the stairwell.

This was outrageous!

When the Su Family came downstairs, they found the smoke below was even thicker than upstairs.

That made everyone in the Su Family feel even worse.

In his fury, Su Zhenxing forgot all about keeping up appearances and shouted.

"Where's Tao Ma? Where is she?!"

"Get over here and explain what's going on!"

"How did you fill the villa with so much smoke?!"

"Don't want to work anymore, do you?!"

Liu Yanran still spoke in her gentle voice, trying to persuade Su Zhenxing.

"We should first find out what happened."

"Then we can punish Tao Ma accordingly."

Su Lili and the others also shouted angrily.

"That Tao Ma is getting lazier and lazier!"

"How could she do her job so terribly?!"

Su Lili even said sternly.

What was wrong with this Su Chen?! Why was he so troublesome?!

He had just branded his Second Sister, Qiqi, a thief, and now he was filling the villa with smoke, choking everyone.

Su Zhenxing immediately flew into a rage and roared.

"Where is Su Chen?!"

"Get your ass out here!"

"Give me an explanation! Give me an account!"

"Otherwise, I won't let him off!"
