The Wizard Tower

After the group entered the forest, the blue curtain of light slowly closed behind them, as if it were alive. They soon discovered that the worlds inside and outside the curtain were completely different. Outside, it was still shortly after noon, but within the curtain, dusk had already settled heavily. The sky seemed covered by a blue veil, with a few stars hanging in the distance, resembling the scene after sunset.

A hundred paces away, the woodland was already shrouded in gloom.

The stark contrast put everyone on guard at once. Nemesis and Freya quietly drew their swords and looked around. Something uneasy seemed to lurk in the air, sending chills down their backs.

Brando stared at the strange-shadow-filled forest. They were already in a valley, and layer upon layer of distant hills lay submerged in the night. To the north, the sky was a deep purple, like the dead of night. In The Amber Sword, these hills were called the Twilight Hills. According to his memory, they should lie at the southwestern edge of Breath of Milos.

At the entrance to this region, there should be a Twilight Hound's den. They were an ancient subspecies of monstrous canid. Though extinct in Vonder, small populations could still be found in certain Black Forests.

"Count, just as you said, which way should we go now?" Laurenna interrupted his thoughts.

"The guide says there should be a path here leading to 'The Courtyard.'" Brando silently recalled the guide's description: "The Twilight Hills are the best entrance to the Milos region. The den guarding the entrance belongs to the monstrous Twilight Hounds. The passage through the den extends northward and leads to 'The Courtyard.' There are hidden treasures at Points A and B, explored by the Crimson Wing Brigade and Crystal Apple guilds
