Kohua seemed to have suddenly gone mad. She had turned the battlefield into this mess without distinguishing friend from foe, then floated above the hall and spouted delirious nonsense. Brando clung to the bridge so he would not fall. Looking up, he saw that Lizardman Sword Saint slightly higher than himself, also gripping the wall, though his other hand held Duke Anlek. Brando glanced around but could not see Little Female Dragon anywhere. He had no idea whether she had succeeded, but the Star-shaped Stone in Anlek's hand had vanished. Judging by his furious expression, it had either been lost or stolen.
The Circle of Unity's black-robed knights brought by Anlek had long since been scattered. Aside from those who had survived through sheer luck, most of the survivors were at least Element Awakening-level beings. Brando counted them. Apart from those still floating in the center of the hall, there were actually eleven in total. Even excluding two or three lucky ones, that still left eight or nine. That number was terrifying. After all, Dejar, whom he had tricked earlier, was still outside. The Element Awakening experts gathered here today already outnumbered the entire upper echelon of Eluin's forces.
The situation inside the hall was as follows—
At the highest level of the hall, only Mephisto remained. Slightly below him were Veronica and the four or five Circle of Unity black-robed knights who had fought her earlier. Below them, floating beside the shattered purple crystal, was Kohua, muttering to herself. The platform beneath her, which held the throne where Milos had been placed, had already collapsed under the impact of the tremendous force and fallen into the abyss. Almost none of the Circle of Unity wizards on the platform had survived. Only the Element Awakening-level wizard had later staggered up
