However, just as Xuanxiao finished speaking, another enormous eye appeared in the void.

But the Great Dao remained utterly aloof, turning a deaf ear to Xuanxiao's pleas as the whip continued lashing his body.

The whip followed him like a shadow. No matter how Xuanxiao dodged, he could not avoid being struck.

"Dad, please stop hitting me! I know I was wrong! I'll never act like an idiot again!"

Only after Xuanxiao begged for mercy for a long while did the whip finally disappear.

At this moment, Xuanxiao wore an utterly lifeless expression. His whole body twitched from time to time, and he looked miserable beyond words.

Just then, a smaller giant eye appeared beside the Eye of the Great Dao. There was no need to guess—this was naturally the Heavenly Dao.

After appearing, the Heavenly Dao quietly watched Xuanxiao. Though it remained completely impassive, Xuanxiao somehow felt that he was taking pleasure in Xuanxiao's misfortune.
