Lanchi began by negotiating contracts with Talia, approaching the far stronger Demon Race woman calmly and guaranteeing a fair transaction in his family’s name. Talia could verify that he was telling the truth, establishing the basis for their early cooperation. 3

He pursued Magic Card creation before entering Iketerite Academy. His first noted Purple Rare card, [Sword Tomb], could force enemies to kneel; Talia judged his potential as a Magic Artisan exceptional despite his limited experience. 11 Lanchi later agreed to teach Talia card making, while she became his manor steward, teacher, and protector as they left for the Royal Capital Ikelite. 13

During the entrance examination’s Artificial Shadow World, Lanchi solved the theft of a magic furnace through legal reasoning rather than force, exposing and arresting the responsible family. His unconventional method drew significant attention from the Sage Institute faculty. 17 20
