Qin Hu teaches Gu Yang shortly after Gu Yang enters the Wan City Martial Academy. Though he begins by treating Gu Yang like any other student, he quickly notices the youth’s abnormal improvement and extraordinary comprehension, choosing to give him special attention. 5 8

He provides practical support beyond instruction: Black Tiger Meat to improve Gu Yang’s nutrition, advice on using resources without pride, boots through the Chai Family Tailor Shop, and preparation advice before Gu Yang’s expedition outside the city. 9 27 37

Mad Tiger Squad and Qianwu Mountain

Qin Hu is revealed to be the renowned captain of the Mad Tiger Squad, with Chai Yunqing as one of his teammates. By this point, he has entered the Mortal Transformation stage and is a prominent fighter in the campaign around Qianwu Mountain. 90 91

Qin Hu survives due to a Void Realm Pill and Qin Wujiu’s intervention.
