Background / History

The Black Demon Race occupied an entire state south of the Arid State, while its frontier stood opposite the Human Race in the Southern Wilderness. The two races fought in the Arid State for nearly ten thousand years without a decisive victor. At the Human Race's historical peak, it controlled seventy percent of the Arid State, but this advantage eroded over the last thousand years. 75 115

The change came when the Black Demon Race overcame its previous shortage of Longevity Realm powerhouses. At least a dozen surrounding races supported it, allowing their combined high-level combatants to roughly balance the Human Race. The Black Demon Race committed its full strength to the Arid State, unlike the Human Race, which could not concentrate all of its forces there. 115

During Gu Yang's deployment to the Black Demon Battlefield, the race treated his Scarlet Domain as an urgent threat. It dispatched scouts, a thousand-man battalion, elite warriors, and later coordinated with allied races—including the Thousand Illusion Race, Green Wild Race, and Earth Burrow Race—to locate and kill him. 123 124 129 134

The conflict escalated into a Human Race extermination campaign. After the Black Demon lines collapsed, retreating forces were pursued into ambushes and their king's territory. The First Brahma Lord killed the Black Demon King's Priest, while Qin Wujiu, Feng Tianya, and Lin Xinghe killed the Black Demon King. Human forces then eliminated the remaining defenders and razed the final black fortress, ending the race's presence as a military power. 214 216

The Black Demon Race serves as the Human Race's principal enemy in the southern Arid State. Its numerical superiority and support from surrounding alien races transform the conflict into a prolonged stalemate between the two sides' high-level forces. 115

Black Demon Battlefield

Gu Yang enters the Black Demon Battlefield and begins eliminating Black Demon scout squads and military formations. The race responds by exposing his position, dispatching an elite thirty-warrior squad, then mobilizing a thousand-man battalion to hunt him. 123 124 125

Gu Yang's continued killings increase the Scarlet Domain's proficiency and undermine Black Demon formations and morale. During a major offensive involving over one hundred thousand Black Demon soldiers, the race sends Level 3 commanders to intercept him; its forces eventually retreat after suffering severe losses. 127 128

Allied assassination effort

Unable to handle Gu Yang alone, the Black Demon Race brings allied alien races into its effort to eliminate him. The Thousand Illusion Race provides disguised assassins, while the Earth Burrow Race is tasked with tracking him across the battlefield. 129 132 133

Earth Abyss Minor World

Black Demon warriors and prodigies attempt to secure a mysterious crystal within a secret location in the Earth Abyss Minor World. Gu Yang and Fan Wanyang intervene, with Gu Yang clearing the guards and killing the prodigy Jialun while Fan Wanyang defeats the remaining prodigies. 175 176 177

Extermination campaign

Canglong Island attacks the Black Demon Race's western garrison to stop reinforcements from reaching the main battlefield. Gu Yang kills a Longevity Realm Black Demon expert, while Human and Black Demon elders, kings, and other high-level figures clash across the battlefield. 207 208 209

Gu Yang's Scarlet Domain reaches Level 4 after killing tens of thousands of Black Demons, becoming lethal to any Body Realm practitioner within its range. The resulting panic contributes to the complete collapse of Black Demon battlefield formations. 214
