Saine and Lina escaped the Knight Continent Trial after helping Bone Dragon Sanchez open a passage to the Netherworld, then traveled to the Public Sea Domain to avenge Moxidu. Saine fought Di'ersi in a witnessed duel, and when Kanterla intervened, Saine turned his attack on him.

• Saine and Lina helped Sanchez open a one-way passage to the Netherworld, then left the closing secret realm with Angle and continued through the Knight Continent Trial.
• Saine forged Lina the Darkness Crystal Magic Staff, and the pair traveled northwest for years, explored the Trial Zone, and watched powerful beasts battle across its boundary.
• After spending twenty-three years in the Trial Zone, Saine and Lina left and traveled through the Western Islands, where Saine promised Lina a plane of their own.
• Saine reunited with Zorro in the Public Sea Domain and told him he had returned to avenge their mentor Moxidu.
• Lina arranged for Jigson to witness Saine's duel with Di'ersi, and Saine confronted Di'ersi over her betrayal of Moxidu and her service to Kanterla.
• Saine fought Di'ersi with Azure Fire, broke through her defenses, and discovered that his body tempering resisted her poison and corrosion magic.
• When Di'ersi stopped resisting and Kanterla entered the arena to protect her, Saine fired a beam from the Azure Fire Heart Magic Staff through Kanterla's Death Cloud.

After defeating Kanterla, Saine parted from Lina and traveled east, gathering materials and developing a way to communicate and exchange goods across the Netherworld passage. News that Kelman Grant was missing in a war brought Saine to the Steel Wall Fist Knights' Hall, where he joined its effort to find his father in Thunderfall World.

• Saine’s Brilliant Heart Beam pierced Kanterla’s defenses and his azure flames consumed Di'ersi, but Kanterla’s weakened Hand of Death shattered Saine’s Energy Shields.
• Bai Xing and Tourmaline arrived with Sea King Class creatures, and Tourmaline killed Kanterla by stomping his Death Cloud.
• Bai Xing explained that Lina could clear her wanted status only through an immense contribution to Wizard Civilization, and Lina and Fei'er chose to remain in the Black Domain while Zorro stayed to support them.
• Saine traveled to the Ice Ocean with Lina and Fei'er, where Tourmaline reunited with her awakened eldest brother Zong Ba before Saine said farewell and began his journey east.
• Saine visited the Jobs Family, traded Knight Continent resources, and traveled with Aijieli through the East Coast and Summoning Alliance, where he established contact with Lina through a Netherworld passage.
• Saine and Lina developed long-distance communication and exchanged goods through magic arrays before Saine continued through the Ebarute Empire toward the Green Source Land.
• Saine learned that Kelman Grant had been gravely injured and was missing in Thunderfall World, then traveled to the Steel Wall Fist Knights' Hall to search for him.

Saine fought in the Thunderfall World campaign, advanced to Level 2, and clashed with Nataya after learning of their arranged marriage. The alliance remained unresolved as they were sent to the Western Front, where Saine set out with Kelman, Ulysses, Colleena, and Nataya.

• Saine joined the defense of Thunderfall Marsh, investigated the marsh, and fought its native creatures while Kelman recovered from his injuries.
• Saine shared a powerful battle qi cultivation art with the Grant Family, then repaired the camp’s magical defenses and experimented with drawing power from lightning.
• Saine fought in the plains battle against Thunderfall World’s army, helped defeat its forces, and traded with the grateful knights afterward.
• Saine reunited with Lina through a magical screen, exchanged news and specimens with her, and spent months in seclusion completing his Elemental True Body transformation to reach Level 2.
• After emerging from seclusion, Saine learned that Nataya was his arranged fiancée, but both rejected the match and fought after she attacked him.
• Saine’s fight with Nataya failed to resolve their marriage alliance, and the two were assigned to the same Western Front combat zone.
• Three months later, Saine set out for the Western Front atop the Thunder Giant Beast with Kelman and Owl Little Qi, while Ulysses and Colleena traveled nearby with Nataya.

Saine endured Thunderfall World’s assault on the fortress, then turned to research and became closer to Nataya and Lunna. The arc left him beginning a Body Tempering Experiment on Lunna in his laboratory.

• Saine coordinated Magic Towers at the Plains Fortress and prepared defenses as Wizard World began its assault on Thunderfall World.
• Saine provided long-range fire support while Thunderfall World’s forces attacked the fortress, eventually breaching its western wall and forcing the defenders inward.
• Saine led his Undead Creatures into battle, fought through the siege, and helped the surviving knights until the Purple Lightning Guardian ordered the enemy to retreat.
• After the fighting, Saine healed Good and other wounded knights, gathered creature corpses for research, and learned that his surviving undead might grow stronger in the Netherworld.
• Saine discovered that Aijieli’s Soulful War Song had made the Thunder Giant Beast her magical pet and strengthened her, then promised to take her to visit relatives in the Orc World when possible.
• Saine met Nataya and her friend Lunna in the Gravity Training Room, impressed Lunna with his praise, and agreed to exchange a Fire-Breathing Dragon King blood for Nataya’s Giant Thunder Crystal Stone.
• Saine brought Lunna to his laboratory for the Body Tempering Experiment, where she agreed to take part despite her concerns about black knights.
• Lunna broke several pieces of laboratory equipment, and Saine secured her to the Laboratory Table as Yuli activated the apparatus and Saine prepared an Azure Flame test.
