Three thousand years before Jing Qian's entry into Pure Yang Heaven, Shang Xi survived a great tribulation that devastated the sect. His martial aunt, Zhen Miao, died suppressing invading great demons, while nearly all other disciples perished; Shang Xi was left to preserve the lineage alone.
