Nature and Function

Destiny Clusters are organs that grant humans extraordinary abilities. They existed within humans before the War Zone's arrival, but normally could not function; instinctive activation produced only subtle effects. 2

• A Cluster may be located in a specific organ or region, such as [White Speech] in the brain. 2
• Their utility depends heavily on the user’s Daoist Arts knowledge, psionic energy, cultivation, and combinations with other Clusters. 20 28
• No Destiny Cluster is inherently useless, but stronger Clusters offer greater potential with less setup. 28

Refining Destiny Clusters

Reaching the leak-proof realm also exposes a cultivator to natural psionic interference from light, fire, electricity, magnetism, and sound. These intrusions are treated as external demonic invasions or heavenly tribulations. 20

Transplantation and Harvesting

Cultivators cannot naturally possess every Cluster needed for their Destiny Map, making harvesting and transplantation standard parts of psionic cultivation. 19

• After gaining complete control of a target, a cultivator may use Conquest Space to appraise battle spoils for Destiny Clusters. 19
• Identified Clusters may be transplanted or stored through a process cultivators call preservation. 19
• An original, unactivated Cluster removed from an ordinary person has comparatively little potential interference after transplantation. 19
• The War Zone performs transplantation, but rejection, compatibility, cross-reactions, contamination, and psychological consequences remain the cultivator’s responsibility. 19 53

Destiny Cluster Psychosis

Destiny Cluster Psychosis is a condition associated with transplanting excessive Destiny Clusters. It erodes the brain, produces hallucinations, and can turn cultivators into indiscriminately violent “Destiny Cluster lunatics.” A single afflicted cultivator may devastate an entire region. 2

• Known contributing factors include excessive transplantation, rejection reactions, incompatibility, and harmful interactions between Clusters. 19
• Some cases appear suspicious: cultivators with manageable compatibility and no prior symptoms have reportedly developed psychosis suddenly. 51

Destiny Maps

A Destiny Map is a Daoist Arts construct formed by arranging compatible Destiny Clusters into a functional combination. Although cultivators understand many individual Clusters, the deeper principles behind their combinations remain poorly understood. 369

Nine Heavens Responding Primordial Treasury

• Lan Yi’s Destiny Map, which draws upon heaven, earth, mountains, rivers, the sun, and the moon to sustain psionic energy during combat. 20
• A complete map requires seventy-two Destiny Clusters. 184

The Seven Divine Destiny Clusters are exceptionally rare Clusters whose baseline authority surpasses ordinary Clusters. Their effects do not require the arduous knowledge accumulation, specialized cultivation, or complex combinations normally needed to reach comparable power. 28

• A Divine Destiny Cluster can independently produce effects comparable to plasma conversion, supernova-scale wave release, or unrestricted spatial travel. 28
• They can still combine with other Clusters, producing even more extreme results. 28
• Obtaining one is considered sufficient to place its bearer on the path toward becoming a top-tier psionic cultivator. 28
• Exposure to a Divine Destiny Cluster’s information gives a cultivator’s life information a detectable mystique; this acts as both a key and a burden. 70

• Destiny Clusters are described as a cutting-edge biotechnology product; some virtual layers can cultivate, equip, manufacture, or substitute them. 316
