Background

Thor is the son of Eric and Romi. At sixteen, he already resembled Eric in build and broad facial structure, while inheriting his mother’s large eyes. He grew up aspiring to knighthood and to the status attached to his father’s service under Raven. 202 432

He served as an Eagle Eye Guard, a force responsible for public security, arrests, and preventing crime. His uniform included a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, a unilateral cape, half-plate armor, a whip, and an Eagle Feather longsword. 271 429

Thor’s ambition initially made him volatile. After Eric excluded him from the list for God-Given Potions because his foundations were insufficient, Thor secretly added his own name and later provoked a tavern conflict with Hoaz, Julia, and their companions. 305 The dispute continued until Thor captured Hoaz; Raven ultimately ruled that Hoaz had acted improperly and ordered an apology, compensation, and confinement. 432 433

In battle, however, Thor shows considerable courage and loyalty. Feeling overlooked after being denied a God-Given Potion, he becomes involved in a tavern confrontation with Hoaz, Julia, Banks, and Lennon. 271 305 The feud escalates until Thor captures Hoaz, though Raven later holds Hoaz responsible for initiating the assault. 432 433

Rise as a Future Baron

Thor begins building his own household by recruiting Henry as a retainer after recognizing the apprentice’s remarkable strength. 438 He also seeks Raven’s approval to lead troops in the planned Orc Empire attack, presenting a Sunstone and drafting his own campaign route. 433

Reclamation of the Mountain Territory

Raven assigns Thor 2,500 soldiers to reclaim the mountain territory from Zeswell’s undead. Thor enters the Orc Empire eager to gain merit and establish himself apart from Eric’s reputation. 470 485 His aggressive attack against the Boarfolk is nearly disastrous when Ulga severely wounds him, but Thor recovers and personally decapitates the Second-tier Boarfolk. 486

When the Blood Swamp Tramplers collapse his mercenary-held left flank, Thor orders a retreat, reinforces the position, and captures Bu Ruo alive. 489 490 Raven later explains that Thor should have used the mercenaries as bait to annihilate the Tramplers; Thor accepts the lesson and publicly takes responsibility before his troops while executing seventeen surviving mercenaries under Raven’s order. 492 493

Thor subsequently leads the assault on the Goblin logistics hub with the Arrowhead Formation. Although Raven punishes his group for acting without authorization, Thor credits Hoaz and the other participants rather than claiming the victory alone. 501 482

Defense of Raven and the Second Generation

After learning that Raven faced Zorsan, Thor leads the Local Faction’s Transcendentals on what he considers a suicide mission to reinforce him. 504 He later returns to find Anno fighting the Azure Dragon and reconciles with Eric after their earlier conflict. 506
