Background

Raven grew up in Monen City’s lower-class environment and survived through underworld work, including lockpicking and jobs for the Silver Hand Brotherhood. His skill at burglary eventually placed him on multiple gangs’ wanted lists, with a fifty-gold-coin bounty on his head. 137

As Donald Griffith’s nephew and first heir, Raven returned to Eagle Fortress amid a succession crisis. He killed Donald after discovering his connection to an Evil God, staged the aftermath to implicate Eric Davinson, and used the secret to force Eric’s loyalty. He retained Eric by revealing the truth afterward, removing the resentment that coercion alone would have created. 3
