Background

Eric was a native-born Nord who served the Griffith Family for years under Baron Donald. At age 24, he entered Donald's service as a First-tier Transcendent; by the time Donald died, he had remained at that level for sixteen years and had received neither knighthood nor the wealth he had hoped would improve his family's life. 208 261 599

As Chief Guard of Eagle Fortress, Eric led the party that brought Raven back from Monen City. Raven framed him for Donald's assassination and forced him to swear a blood oath of loyalty by exploiting Eric's concern for his children. After learning that Donald had ties to an Evil God—and that exposing the corpse could strip the Griffith Family of its title—Eric accepted Raven as the legitimate heir he had once served. 3
