Background
Josh was an ordinary man from Earth before being killed by a construction vehicle and reincarnated as a prince of the Augustus Empire. Despite his royal upbringing, he failed to cultivate the Augustus family's Battle Qi and could not use conventional elemental magic. His unusually high mental power allowed him to accumulate silver, attribute-less Mana, but this only made him appear more anomalous and useless to conventional teachers. 1
At sixteen, Josh was sent from Caesarea to rule Constantinople. His father, Augustus IV, distanced him from imperial politics but provided him with a viable territory and the opportunity to return if he proved himself. 1 6
His fortunes changed after he was drawn into Icathia and exposed to silver Void energy. Josh identified his Mana as Void elements, developed original Void spells, and eventually recruited Garen—initially an enemy stranded from Valoran—as a close-combat companion. 2 7 12
Appearance
Josh is described as a handsome, slender Westerner approximately 1.8 meters tall. His cultivation improves his physical condition and gives him a more refined, youthful appearance. 97 346
- His eyes serve as conduits and storage for elemental magic, spatial techniques, and Seraph. 75 81 417
- His pupils can change into geometric rune patterns when activating eye-based spells. 82 194
- He commonly wears formal noble clothing, modern outfits acquired from other worlds, or dark mage robes. 8 346 455
- His Void Magic typically manifests as silver light, runes, shields, and spheres. 8 23 97
Personality
Josh is pragmatic, curious, and strongly motivated by security. His early helplessness as a “good-for-nothing” prince leaves him determined never to remain powerless; this is reflected in his focus on defensive magic, Mana reserves, escape options, and contingency plans. 1 75 182
He is confident without consistently seeking public attention. Josh dislikes feigning weakness, but he also avoids exposing his full strength when doing so would make him a target. 93 115 249
His morality is selective. Josh can be generous to followers and friends—providing education, protection, resurrection, and opportunities—but he is also willing to intimidate, manipulate memories, threaten families, or kill opponents when he sees it as expedient. 153 285 357
Josh increasingly recognizes that overwhelming power risks making him indifferent to ordinary lives. After absorbing the Space Stone's power, he consciously resolves to remain a person rather than treating weaker beings as beneath consideration. 522 523
“As long as you stay true to yourself and ensure you are the master of your desires, not a slave to them, the same applies to power.” 74
Abilities & Skills
Void Magic
Josh's original Mana is silver Void Mana, an unknown attribute that conventional Muya mages cannot classify or teach. His Void affinity gives him exceptional compatibility with spatial magic and a fundamentally different quality of power from ordinary elemental mages. 1 7 48
- Void Shield — Removes or nullifies incoming attacks by sending them into the Void; it can shatter under insufficient Mana output, but can be continuously sustained. 10
- Void Orb and Void Blade — His primary direct offensive spells; Void Orb can erase matter and is enhanced through Void Origin. 4 23
- Void Swarm — Summons Void-energy creatures, including a spider-like Voidling; it later proves useful in Akathosh's resurrection. 10 48
- Void Origin — A highly flexible Void substance formerly called Baleful Phantasm. Josh can merge it into shields and elemental spells to enhance their properties. 15 417
- Void Walking — Short-range teleportation that can rupture the space he departs from or arrives in. 94
- Grasp of the Underworld — Immobilizes targets and can be separated from its Void Zone component for specialized time-related applications. 94
- Void Shield limitation — Even at high levels, Josh must regulate his output; careless releases can distort or destabilize lower-level worlds. 566 568
Four-Element Magic
Josh learns to channel Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind elements through his eyes. He first gains Fire magic, then deliberately integrates all four elements to become an unprecedented four-element mage. 75 94
- Fire — His strongest elemental offense; used for large-scale bombardment, fire phoenixes, and explosive pressure. 181 258
- Water and Frost — Forms shields, ice armor, ice cones, Glacial Storm, Frost Storm, and Frozen Tomb. 242 244 253
- Earth — Provides the structural “skeleton” for Seraph. 80
- Wind — Forms Seraph's muscle-like structure and supports aerial mobility. 80 97
- Elemental perception — Possessing all four elements lets Josh read elemental fluctuations, helping him anticipate enemy spells. 252
Spatial, Dimensional, and Temporal Techniques
Josh's Void affinity makes spatial manipulation one of his defining specialties.
- Void Gate / Warping Leap — Enables travel between worlds and rapid transport across vast distances. 48 274 305
- Dimensional Space — An eye-based internal space used to store people, creatures, and equipment. 352 417
- Timeline synchronization — Can align time flows between selected worlds and the Muya Continent. 94 418
- Space Stone comprehension — After dismantling the Space Stone, Josh can construct space and teleport with minimal effort. 522
Seraph
Seraph is Josh's greatest combat trump card: a giant elemental construct inspired by Susanoo and built around a humanoid body plan. It combines four-element magic with Void power and raises his combat strength by approximately one tier. 80 263 417
- Begins as a flaming upper-body skeletal construct with exceptional defensive value. 80
- Uses Earth as skeleton, Water as blood, Wind as muscle, and Fire as outer form. 80 97
- Gains Elemental Light Wings that function as Mana storage and improve its complete humanoid form. 97 182
- At Josh's Eighth Tier breakthrough, evolves into a hundred-meter armored form with legs and wings, assessed at peak Ninth Tier. 352
- Consumes enormous amounts of Mana and cannot be maintained indefinitely. 352 417
Soul, Memory, and Life Manipulation
Josh learns increasingly advanced soul techniques through Akathosh, ancient artifacts, and Imhotep.
- Forms equal soul contracts with powerful companions, including Akathosh. 48
- Uses Memory Magic Crystals to impose or alter memories when controlling dangerous targets. 153
- Can summon souls, store them in specialized Magic Crystals, and restore the dead through soul summoning and cloning. 282 465
- Extracts and manipulates life force from the Staff of Hermes Trismegistus. 279
- Develops mental and illusionary magic capable of scanning, controlling, healing, and building unstable dreamscapes. 360 410 509
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Magic Crystals — Used for Mana storage, memory alteration, soul preservation, and resurrection preparations. 15 153 465
- Elemental Light Wings — Rune-engraved wings stored within his eyes; provide flight, Mana reserves, and Seraph enhancement. 97 182
- Staff of Hermes Trismegistus — Alexios's transforming scepter, containing a renewable source of life force. 279
- Infinity Stones — Josh dismantles and studies the Space, Mind, Reality, and Power Stones; he can create imperfect replicas after understanding their rules. 522 523
- Defensive necklace — An enchanted item capable of blocking most conventional physical attacks, including bullets and missiles. 132
Relationships
- Akathosh — Equal-contract dragon partner, mentor, and frequent source of insults. Akathosh provides ancient knowledge, while Josh's growth restores Akathosh's strength. 48 81 573
- Natasha — Josh rescues her when she is young, later becoming his closest romantic partner. Their relationship helps Josh confront his insecurity and contributes to his Sixth Tier breakthrough. 58 217 255
- Avila Sunstrider — Initially Josh's final opponent at the Four Nations Invitation; their conversations develop into friendship and later a relationship. Avila becomes pregnant with Josh's child. 258 267 538
- Garen — Former enemy from Valoran who becomes Josh's closest combat companion and trusted friend. 12 193
- Frank Anderson — Josh's steward and one of his earliest supporters in Constantinople/Rhine; advises him on governance, secrecy, and territory management. 6 93 448
- Black Augustus / Augustus IV — Josh's father and emperor. Initially disappointed by Josh's inability to cultivate, Black later supports his lordship after learning he is a four-element mage. 1 174
- Howard Stark — Technological collaborator and friend who helps develop Rivendell's modern infrastructure and the Secret Ones Alliance. 169 418
- Dumbledore — Hogwarts ally who appoints Josh to Ravenclaw leadership and supports his meditation education program. 27 31
Major Arcs
Icathia and the Void Inheritance
Josh's accidental arrival in Icathia exposes him to Void elements and gives him the means to turn his unusable silver Mana into Void Magic. His clash with Garen establishes both the danger of close-range opponents and Josh's need for allies. 2 4 12
Hogwarts
At Hogwarts, Josh becomes Ravenclaw's deputy head and later Head of House while introducing meditation, elemental theory, and practical combat. He establishes his authority by effortlessly enduring Flitwick's spells and demonstrating destructive Void Magic. 27 28 31 35
Akathosh's Resurrection
Josh discovers Void Swarm's true potential, resurrects the Skywing Dragon Akathosh, and signs an equal soul contract with him. Akathosh's memories become the foundation for Josh's elemental, spatial, draconic, and soul-magic development. 48
Rivendell and the Four Nations Invitation
Returning to the Muya Continent, Josh reveals his four-element talent to his family and gains Black's support to remain a lord. He competes in the Four Nations Invitation, defeats elite opponents with frost and fire magic, and declines to force a victory against Avila when her condition becomes unstable. 174 242 244 264
Secret Ones Alliance
Josh founds the Secret Ones Alliance with Master Ancient One to regulate supernatural beings and maintain world stability. He serves as Supreme Judge, while others—including Dumbledore, Ancient One, and later Odin—handle much of its direct administration. 62 320 515
Void Metamorphosis
Absorbing Akathosh's stored power nearly destroys Josh's Mana source and body. By using his understanding of world rules, he reforms his internal power into a vortex-like system, reaches the Eighth Tier, and gains a Ninth Tier body and peak Ninth Tier Seraph. 348 351 352
Cosmic Overlord and the Endless Void
Josh intervenes in cosmic conflicts involving Asgard, Thanos, Ronan, and the Infinity Stones. After entering the Endless Void and spending tens of thousands of subjective years in Runeterra, he returns at Tier Fifteen with vastly enhanced Void Shield, willpower, and authority over rules. 511 528 567 568
