Background

The Abyss was originally the first Divine Kingdom. Its creator, the universe’s first goddess, established it to impose order on primordial chaos. Her Divine Law of Finality gradually became a Divine Spark that consumed her humanity and assimilated her consciousness. When she swallowed the Spark in an attempt to resist it, she mutated into a ravenous entity; her Divine Kingdom collapsed into the Ninefold Inferno, her attendants became demons, and she became the Abyss Mother Goddess. 342

By the time Yang Yu encounters it beyond Blue Star’s Planar Barrier, the Abyss is a gigantic living entity that continuously devours worlds and produces Abyssal Demons. Direct contact with its consciousness nearly assimilates Yang Yu’s soul, forcing him to use Immovable Wisdom King Body to survive. 260

Apolium later attempts to exchange bodies with Yang Yu, intending to take his “Body is Universe” Divine Body while leaving him trapped in the madness of the Abyss. Yang Yu instead uses the transfer to seize the Abyss body and its authority. 360 He establishes control over the Abyss Core, removes the Mother Goddess from power, and announces that he has become the Abyss itself. 363

Nature and Composition

The Abyss is both a cosmic body and a functioning civilization-scale system.

• Its original form is a world-devouring living entity whose consciousness carries the negative emotions, chaos, and madness accumulated across countless eras. 260 360
• It can manifest physically on a cosmic scale; its shell, Blood Veins, incorporated universes, and inhabitants can collectively form parts of its body. 483

The Abyss can consume matter, energy, laws, populations, and entire worlds, then integrate or refine them into its own foundation.

The Abyss’s native consciousness is capable of assimilating other beings, while Yang Yu’s authority allows him to command its laws and rewrite its internal hierarchy.

Origin as the Abyss Mother Goddess’s Divine Kingdom

The Abyss begins as the first Divine Kingdom, created by the first goddess to bring order to chaos. Her loss of humanity to the Divine Spark transforms both her and the kingdom into the Abyss Mother Goddess and the Ninefold Inferno. 342

Threat to Blue Star

Abyss Dungeons are identified as spatial rifts connected to the Abyssal World and regarded as trials beyond human capability. 70 The Abyss later launches forces against Blue Star, but Yang Yu reverses their invasion by annihilating its army and planning to eventually fight into the Abyss itself. 228 231

Yang Yu’s Takeover

Yang Yu enters the true Abyss, discovers its cosmic scale, and vows to destroy it after narrowly avoiding assimilation. 260 Apolium later tries to exchange bodies with him; Yang Yu turns the ritual against her, claims the Abyss body, and establishes himself as its new ruler. 360 363

Conversion into a Human Training Realm

Yang Yu strips the Abyss Lords of power, turns their territory into a regulated leveling zone, and converts Abyssal demons and energy into renewable resources for Blue Star’s fighters. 364 367

Reconstruction into an Independent Universe

Yang Yu rebuilds the Abyss’s Bottom Layer Code by assimilating multiple Cosmic Bubble Law Systems. He then creates the Abyss Mark, abolishing former limits and establishing a new advancement system independent of the High-Dimensional Observer. 400 411

Expansion Beyond the Abyss

With Chaos immunity, resurrection, a growing Network, and Name-Holding authority, the Abyss expands into Hongmeng through commerce, branch stores, conquest, and world assimilation. 428 516 567 It eventually becomes a superworld whose gravity draws other worlds into its orbit. 573 574

• Yang Yu considers the Abyss’s Name-Holding mechanism more effective than loan sharking because its underlying rules prevent bad debts or resistance. 518
