Background

Origin

The Abyss began as the first Divine Kingdom, created by the universe’s first goddess to impose order upon primordial chaos. Her Divine Law of Finality gradually formed a Divine Spark that consumed her humanity and assimilated her consciousness. When she swallowed the Spark in an attempt to resist, she mutated into a ravenous entity; her Divine Kingdom collapsed into the Ninefold Inferno, her attendants became demons, and she became the Abyss Mother Goddess. 342

By the time Yang Yu encounters it beyond Blue Star’s Planar Barrier, the Abyss is a living cosmic predator that devours worlds, destroys civilizations, and generates Abyssal Demons. Contact with its consciousness nearly tears Yang Yu’s soul from his avatar and assimilates it. 260

Transfer of Sovereignty

Apolium attempts to escape her decaying Abyss body by exchanging bodies and souls with Yang Yu. She expects the Abyss’s accumulated chaos and madness to destroy his mind, but Yang Yu uses the transfer to awaken within the Abyss instead. 360

Yang Yu subsequently brings Blue Star into the Abyss Core, overrides Asmodeus’s commands through superior Abyss authority, and declares himself the representative of “Father God.” 362 He confirms that Apolium has been “optimized” and that he is now the Abyss itself. 363

After defeating Apolium, Yang Yu rewrites the Abyss Core’s control system, brands her soul with a slave rune, renames her “Little White,” and retains her as a subordinate. 366

Reconstruction and Expansion

Yang Yu strips the former Abyss Lords of their Divine Sparks and Supreme Authorities, refusing to distribute their corruptive powers to humanity. Instead, he converts Abyssal energy into renewable demonic creatures and turns the defeated Lords into imprisoned dungeon bosses and laborers. 364

The Abyss absorbs fourteen Cosmic Bubbles and rebuilds its foundational laws into a coherent sixteen-universe system. 400 It later adopts the Abyss Mark, a new advancement system that removes fixed classes, attribute caps, and conventional skill trees in favor of self-created abilities and chaotic evolution. 411

After devouring the God Devourer, the Abyss gains universal Chaos immunity and becomes capable of supporting cross-realm warfare without suffering Chaos Sea corrosion. 428

The creation of the self-owned Abyss True Name turns the entity into a scalable power network. Through Branch Titles, the Abyss can create subordinate Sixth Step Name Holders and receive continuous feedback from their cultivation and acquisitions. 517 518

By Yang Yu’s long seclusion, the Abyss’s gravity begins pulling entire Hongmeng Grand Worlds toward it without direct attack or summons. More than thirty thousand worlds merge into the Abyss within two years, while their populations, resources, laws, and infrastructure are processed into its expanding system. 573
