Background / History

Ten years before the story begins, Roger transmigrated to Mystra with only the Hidden Hero class template. Aware that he was inexperienced and that Mystra was lethally dangerous, he refused repeated invitations to adventure and remained in Tongma Town to build strength safely. 1

He spent that decade hunting Magic Explosion Frogs. Killing the 164,250th frog completed his first Sin Mark, granted him total Magic Resistance, and finally convinced him that he had the ability to leave Tongma Town. 1

After leaving, Roger accumulated equipment, martial arts knowledge, servants, and regional influence. His work exterminating Johnny Turtles around Paramount Manor earned him the name “Roger Master” and made him a widely known disciple of the Clear Spring Sect. 56 63

His later campaigns expanded from local monster hunting into conflicts with the Red Sleeve Brotherhood, Red Robes, ancient evils, planar factions, and celestial-level opponents. Personality

Roger is intensely cautious, practical, and patient. He considers reckless adventuring foolish, prefers preparation over bravado, and spent a full decade developing in a beginner town rather than risking his life for quick gains. 1

He values useful abilities over impressive-sounding but impractical titles. This extends to his combat style: he studies enemy weaknesses, tests his techniques on controlled targets, and seeks decisive victories instead of prolonged battles. 65 95 186

Despite his ruthlessness toward hostile factions, Roger can be flexible with ordinary people. He adjusted his Johnny Turtle extermination fees for struggling farms and allowed his subordinates opportunities to earn experience before personally intervening when necessary. 63 336
