Background / History

Village massacre and the Sixth Floor

Yun Xiaoxi grew up in a Humanfolk village in Purple Wisteria Territory. Villagers serving in nearby cities secretly brought martial arts home, gradually allowing the community to prosper. After these activities were exposed and the village’s leading figures took the wrong side in a conflict, almost everyone was slaughtered overnight. Yun Xiaoxi escaped, but the family responsible was later destroyed in other struggles, leaving her no surviving enemy to avenge herself upon 225.

She subsequently encountered the Sixth Floor and received unusually generous access to its secret collections. Later narration reveals that the organization was involved in thousands of similar massacres, whose female Humanfolk survivors “luckily” became Sequence Users. Among those girls, Yun Xiaoxi alone possessed love and survived long enough to be recruited. The true Floor Master denied the Sixth Floor’s involvement when she directly questioned him 475.

Life with Zhang Qing in Subcity

Guan Yutian bought Yun Xiaoxi and presented her to Zhang Qing, who tested her with his saber before accepting her and assigning her a room. His initial attitude was calculating: he considered how she might benefit him and whether she could eventually serve as a hostage 64.

She settled into his household, preparing meals and waiting for his return while concealing her strength. When a transformed Hu Ya attacked their courtyard, Yun Xiaoxi secretly extracted and consumed the Forbidden Object’s Silicon Powder from her body, then returned to bed before Zhang Qing noticed her intervention 83 97.

Once Zhang Qing began suspecting her identity, both feared that the other had uncovered their secrets. Their cooperation deepened as she explained Sequence cultivation, Path Markers, source points, and the dangers of manipulated advancement. Zhang Qing was already indispensable as the anchor for her intended promotion to Sequence Three 101 112 113 120.

Survival and the Love Path

Yun Xiaoxi helped the group escape Subcity’s destruction, deploying her armor and a purple shield against the Nirvana Fire shock wave. The shield shattered, and she ultimately took the brunt of the weakening blast. The survivors remained severely injured, with Nirvana Fire burning inside their bodies 134.

She later accompanied Zhang Qing into Heaven City Battlefield, where she told him about her past. Purple Flower Enclave’s flowers recalled her lost homeland and provided the setting she needed for advancement. Zhang Qing’s acceptance through his Tribal Path Marker allowed her to become part of his Clan and complete a new Love Path, with Passion marking her breakthrough 222 225 226 231 233.

After the Pink Series succeeded, the Sixth Floor closed her communication channel and treated their transaction as complete. Yun Xiaoxi told Zhang Qing that she had left the organization, although she continued to have dealings with it afterward 240 303.

Great Xia’s protector and administrator

During Zhang Qing’s absence, Yun Xiaoxi oversaw affairs involving An City, Mountain City, preparations against Battle City, and the growing Player population. Using his delegated Clan Authority, she could also open passages for Great Xia’s strongest fighters to travel between the Two Worlds 296 298.

When Ye Linwang returned to Blue Star with dangerous combined powers, she located him through online information and the Think Tank’s files. She flew from the Imperial Capital to Magic City in under ten minutes and subdued him in less than three seconds, despite his having repelled a Rising Sun squad 297.

During the invasion of Great Xia, she advanced to Support Sequence Four. Her Being Loved healing, spread through Zhang Qing’s Blood Dragon and Blood River, restored defenders across the country and reversed the worsening battlefield situation 379 380.

The Floor Master’s bargain and Sequence collapse

Yun Xiaoxi knowingly returned to the Sixth Floor’s library despite the possibility of danger, reasoning that her death could settle the debt she and Zhang Qing owed it. After Zhang Qing openly broke with the organization, she bowed to Van Atkin, and the Sixth Floor’s marks on both of them faded 465 466.

She concealed a meeting with the true Floor Master, who offered her a future with Zhang Qing in exchange for placing a humanity-based mark upon him through her transcendent Path Marker. Zhang Qing recognized that she was lying but sensed no hostility through their mental bond. As a precaution, he secretly sealed a Nirvana mark inside her 474.

An ambush later exploited her willingness to sacrifice herself whenever Zhang Qing faced mortal danger. Her attempted Transcendent advancement collapsed, leaving her dying in his arms. She confessed the concealed meeting and explained that she had only wanted to remain with him. Her apparent fall alarmed both Great Xia and the Imperial City Venerable Masters because she was the Dark Realm’s only official Support Sequence User 489 490 491.

Return and the Flower Lord project

Yun Xiaoxi was preserved inside the Blood Pearl. When she returned, she discovered that the Dragon Venerable was not Zhang Qing and broke down over his apparent loss. Her love-sequence mark, originally intended to prevent Hao from fully merging with Zhang Qing, instead became the guide by which the Dragon Venerable retrieved his true spirit across time 540.

Zhang Qing subsequently proposed developing a Primordial Ancestor-level existence for her through Star Formations. In Sea World, she established a Temple, enshrined a wisteria as the Flower Lord, and served as its High Priest. She then engraved Star Formation circuits into its Faith Pool, directing its growth while preventing it from developing an independent spirit 550 557 571.

As the Purple Wisteria Divine Kingdom expanded beyond three billion people, Yun Xiaoxi established an enforcement force and recruited Guan Yutian to lead its Razor Department 585.

Venerable Master and the new era

During preparations for the Flower Lord’s final transformation, Yun Xiaoxi only appeared to merge with it; she actually hid inside Zhang Qing’s Mental Sea. When summoned, she entered its True Body and completed the remaining Star Formation Patterns. Zhang Qing introduced her to the others as his wife and Venerable Master partner 611 618.

She restored the Divine Kingdom’s Faith Power, absorbed the Iron Dark Realm, and linked the departing group with faith as they traveled toward the Sea of Chaos and the Other Shore. Her later command of the Metal Law allowed her to remain active when other foundational figures had fallen into slumber 618 636.

Her fear that Zhang Qing would eventually sever all worldly connections persisted. At a kite festival in Weifang City, he reassured her that his goal was to ascend together with Great Xia and all living beings, rather than leave them behind 663.

Yun Xiaoxi is described as having a pretty face, slender pale fingers, and a graceful figure 83 97 134.

Yun Xiaoxi enjoys quiet domestic routines: tending the courtyard, taking walks, cooking, and waiting for Zhang Qing to return. Unlike the more independent Grace Yang, she wants someone she can rely upon. Her Love Path develops from attraction into devotion sustained through shared danger 131 233.

Her affection does not prevent secrecy or practical judgment. She conceals her powers, identifies enemy abilities, manages military logistics, and constructs a religious institution around the Flower Lord. However, threats to Zhang Qing can override that caution; enemies deliberately exploit her instinct to sacrifice herself for him 97 231 298 489 557.

She rejects the idea that destiny is unchangeable, explicitly telling the true Floor Master that the future can be altered. Her preferred future is nevertheless modest and personal: living peacefully with Zhang Qing in Suhang, surrounded by the lights of ordinary homes 474 491.
