Lu Ban and Trist exchanged a glance. With this many monsters, there was no way they could deal with them—not now, and not even if they still had guns.
Clang, clang, clang—
The monsters were tearing at the windows, leaving marks with their fine teeth as they tried to bite through the wood. Their sharp teeth scraped across the glass, producing a series of grating sounds like fingernails scratching a blackboard.
Trist moved a flowerpot over from the side and placed it against the door. He knew perfectly well that with so many monsters, it was only a matter of time before they broke through the main entrance.
"Is there a way to the underground parking lot from here?"
Lu Ban asked.
"What underground parking lot could there be here?"
Trist rolled his eyes at Lu Ban. After thinking for a moment, he quickly made up his mind.
"Let's go to the second floor first. Once the monsters get inside, we can jump out the windows, then go straight to the parking lot, get a car, and head to the docks to find a boat."
"Let's call Momiji and the others over first."
Lu Ban wasn't sure whether this plan was actually reliable. From the glimpses he'd gotten earlier, there seemed to be an overwhelming number of monsters. Who knew how many would still be outside after they climbed down from the second floor?
But the most important thing now was to gather everyone together. Splitting up made it easy for something to go wrong.
He hurried back to the underground storage room and soon saw Xiya and Momiji waiting by the entrance.
"The monsters are attacking the main entrance. We're going to the second floor."
Lu Ban stated it simply.
"Monsters?"
Momiji looked confused, but Xiya asked no questions.
