Locke said to Witch Macedon, "I read one of your articles discussing how, when total rainfall remains unchanged, fewer rainfall cycles but greater rainfall per event benefit the magic plant ecology of semiarid regions."
Witch Macedon understood what Locke wanted to say and nodded. "It seems you really did read my article carefully. That one was published in a second-tier local journal in Rain-Marsh. Yes, I know what you mean. Indeed, in most regions with little rainfall, a pattern of infrequent but heavy rain can be used. But there is a problem: this model only works in areas suffering long-term drought, while most of Genesis Blue Lotus World is not like that."
"Only the central region has a long-term drought ecology. I can use that model there."
Locke said, "We are all breeding masters. We only need to actively breed magic plants across Genesis Blue Lotus World and transform the current ecology into one dominated by magic plants such as [Great Needle Grass], [Ice Grass], [Sheep Grass], [Saxaul], and [Calligonum]. It is a reluctant measure, but if we do not maintain the ecology, this world will become even harder to sustain. At present, however, Genesis Blue Lotus World has far too many magic plants that require water and other resources."
"Besides that, we can plant some special magic plants on the ground. These Emerald Iris Lichen, Azure Lichen, Moonlight Lichen, Sunlight Lichen, Vermilion Lichen, and Starlight Lichen are magic plants I cultivated during my apprentice days. These lichen magic plants can lock in water resources, cover and protect the land, and generate resources on their own. They also require few resources, so I believe they can be planted."
"Besides that, I have a First-Ring Magic Plant with low resource requirements called Diamond Succulent. Perhaps we can plant that as well."
