Locke nodded to Wizard Hugo and his friend, then hurried away.
Watching Locke's retreating figure, Wizard Hugo said, "Wizard Augustine has only just become a Moon-Ring Wizard. I wonder whether he can withstand the shock of this higher-dimensional world."
Wesley Payne sighed. "Exactly. He became a Moon-Ring Wizard far too quickly, and I hear his Pseudo Forging level is exceptionally high. Is Universal Truth Level Pseudo Forging stronger than ordinary Pseudo Forging?"
Wizard Hugo glanced at him. "You're not yet at a level where you can understand Pseudo Forging. Universal Truth Pseudo Forging has advantages and disadvantages. If you become a Moon-Ring Wizard one day, you might understand what I mean after another hundred years."
"What we Moon-Ring Wizards pursue is that sliver of reality. A universal truth and a stone might equally be nothing more than illusions. And compared with the strength of Constancy, the difference in strength between the two is complicated."
Wizard Payne shrugged. "Then we can talk about it later. It's still far beyond me."
"Besides, as things stand, becoming a Moon-Ring Wizard would only make me a priority target."
Wizard Hugo explained, "Pseudo Forging is a rather special stage. Enough Great Magic at the Pseudo Forging stage can protect an Academic Lineage, turning it from illusion into reality. I've heard that if a lineage has no Moon-Ring Wizard or higher, the entire lineage will fall off the Path of Truth."
"Targeting Sun-Ring Wizards is too difficult. Star-Ring Wizards are easier targets, but defeating them brings little reward. All things considered, hostile lineages will target us Moon-Ring Wizards first."
Wizard Hugo considered this. "At least, that's true when both sides have abandoned all pretense. Of course, it takes enough Wisdom to devise such a strategy. Wizards at the Void Forging stage can easily revise their theories.
