Locke watched the vote count climb rapidly. Votes from Third-Ring, Fourth-Ring, and other High-Ring Wizards were converted into equivalent Second-Ring Wizard votes, so only the totals for and against appeared. In an instant, more than ten thousand votes favored declaring war on the two pantheons and striking back, while over four thousand opposed it.
The votes in favor soon passed twenty thousand.
But the next moment, the opposing tally surged past twenty thousand as well.
Locke pondered what he was seeing. "Did a High-Ring Wizard from some Academic Lineage vote against war? Or did the Wizards of an entire Wizard Land oppose it?"
Soon the numbers reached thirty thousand against thirty thousand.
Then they jumped to more than forty-five thousand on each side.
Locke sensed two factions locked in a contest. One seemed to be Wizards reacting spontaneously to the situation and voting for war. The faction opposing war appeared to have another purpose, though he could not tell who was organizing it.
After a moment's thought, Locke casually voted in favor of declaring war.
With numbers this large, his single vote hardly mattered.
Just as both sides neared fifty thousand votes, the voting channel abruptly closed, and the proposal turned red.
Locke clicked it, but nothing happened. "Did the High-Ring Wizards above the Third Ring hold an internal vote and decide this special Eastern Sector Council proposal was unreasonable?"
The High-Ring Wizards don't want to declare war directly on the Logos Divine System and the Terra Pantheon?
A new proposal appeared beneath the Eastern Sector Council emblem: Should the Eastern Sector establish a Special Wizard-Land Front Committee to confront the Persepolis God Clan and others interfering with the Magic Ascension Plan? Its members would be seven Wizard Lands: Deerhorn Ridge, Land of Eight Directions, Ancient Vine Village, Southern Witch
