In the Wizarding World, at a space station in Near-Earth Void Orbit, Wizard Karl of the Black Earth Region led seven fellow wizards from the same region off a medium-sized Void Battleship. Apart from Karl, all seven bore minor injuries.
The seven Second-Ring Wizards looked delighted. Clearly, this expedition into the void had brought them considerable rewards.
The seven chatted among themselves.
Mikas, a green-haired Second-Ring Wizard, said, "It's all thanks to Karl. Our little group actually discovered a Greater World no wizard had ever visited and reached a special economic and trade agreement with its civilization. That was brilliant. We couldn't possibly swallow up an entire Greater World, but as long as we sign commercial contracts with all its major powers, the other wizard organizations in our world won't be able to bypass us."
Another Second-Ring Wizard, Naik, said, "Exactly. Even selling those commercial contracts to other wizard organizations would bring us an enormous fortune. Many of us offended Mr. Karl back in the Black Earth Region's Wizard Land. Quite a few of us were even his enemies."
Naik looked at Karl sheepishly. "Looking back, we're truly ashamed. Karl, you set aside our past grudges and even brought us into that Greater World. You didn't need us at all."
Karl tossed him a bottle of Wizard Wine and said heartily, "Why dwell on the past? If you were petty people, I'd keep my distance. Our Black Earth Region's Wizard Land has always been short on talent. It's only a Common Wizard Land, and its resources can't compare to those of the Upper Wizard Lands. But that's precisely why we need to stand together."
