The Future Friends of the Lich God and the Secrets of the Venom Great World
Mike wizard immediately chanted a spell, and Black Lightning struck the ground and darted around beneath his feet, while the Eight-Headed Serpent's body began to petrify.
The Eight-Headed Serpent roared repeatedly. It quickly realized that if it bit itself, it could turn its petrified body parts back into Liquefaction. However, the problem was that all eight of its serpent heads were grabbed and sealed by eight giant rock hands that the wizard Mike had created from the ground.
"It's such a weak creature."
The Purple-Spotted Eight-Headed Serpent roared in resentment. In its eyes, the other party was merely a low-level energy entity, insignificant compared to its vast energy. Yet, at this moment, it was about to turn to stone because of this weak life form.
The wizard Mike kept chanting incantations.
No matter how powerful the opponent's total Magic Pressure is, without the Spiritual Touch Studies, it's like a three-year-old child carrying a gold brick through the market.
Of course, the Eight-Headed Serpent is not so weak; as a world lord, it possesses many innate talents and abilities.
Wizard Mike kept calculating in his mind, adjusting different Earth Magic Spell Model, using Second Ring Earth Magic to harmonize a part of the Spiritual Touch Field within the world lord's body, making its Spiritual Touch Field Spiritual Touch Field closer to that of stone, thus achieving the petrification effect.
If it's a Star-Ring Level Earth Magic wizard, they can even use Earth Magic to blend Spiritual Touch, turning the enemy's Mana and spells into stone.
The Eight-Headed Serpent felt its vast, ocean-like power gradually being fixed in place.
Soon, the Eight-Headed Serpent turned into a large rock.
This once invincible world destroyer suddenly fell to the ground, shattering into many pieces. Its broken body rolled a few times on the ground before disappearing, leaving behind half a dried-up riverbed.
Locke's Illusion spoke up, "I see. It seems this being wasn't just saying he'd destroyed multiple worlds casually. Mr. Mike, look at the stones that cracked when his body fell to the ground after you petrified it. Those stones are filled with the Plane Principle. He must have consumed quite a few Plane Principle."
"The world lord of this world actually possesses such a powerful aggressiveness."
Wizard Mike scratched the back of his head. "You're the Moon-Ring Grand Wizard, more sensitive to the Plane Principle than I am. I haven't noticed anything."
"But if that's the case, does it mean that the world lords of this world all have the special ability to invade other worlds and devour their Plane Principle? If so, this world really does resemble the Wizarding World of the past."
Wizard Mike said, "It's very much like the Wizarding World during the Great Void Exploration Era. The Wizarding World back then was very traditional."
Locke's Illusion said, "I haven't seen other world lords, so I don't know. But this Eight-Headed Serpent seems to have indeed devoured many worlds. If it appeared in other worlds, it would probably be some kind of Outer God invasion that is difficult to destroy and resist for those civilizations."
"Mr. Mike, I need you to go into that dried-up riverbed. I need to restart the live stream now."
Wizard Mike said, "Okay."
He strode toward the eight dried-up riverbeds. There was no poison left in the riverbeds, only cracked earth. The riverbeds were bare, but there were many artifacts from other worlds, such as a small mechanical spaceship, a magic wand, and even some special creatures from some unknown world made of tentacles.
Mike wizard stared at the tentacles at the bottom of the river for a while. "What is this thing? It looks disgusting."
After careful observation, Locke said, "It should be some kind of Zerg."
Wizard Mike said, "That idiot from earlier dared to provoke Void Swarm? Isn't he afraid of being eaten alive?"
Locke pondered, "It shouldn't be the Void Swarm. I've read related articles; according to the writings of the Insect Curse School wizards, many worlds in the Infinite Void have their own native insectoid races. So far, it's uncertain whether the Void Swarm expanded and spread its Void Swarm Swarm, or whether the worlds it devoured in the past influenced the Plane Principle, causing other worlds to automatically evolve insectoids similar to the Swarm. Or perhaps, the Void Swarm is just a slightly more advanced, specialized Swarm."
Wizard Mike scratched his head. "So complicated."
He looked towards the center of the river, his pupils suddenly shrinking. "The Spiritual Touch Field of the 'Universal Pulling - Strong Spiritual Touch ' technique, within these river channels, is so different from the Spiritual Touch Field of the Venom Great World outside. This is truly astonishing."
Locke's Illusion asked, "Is that so strange? I don't know much about Spiritual Touch Studies."
Wizard Mike said, "Other Spiritual Touch Field are one thing, but the All-Encompassing Spiritual Touch Field shouldn't show such a drastic change within the same world. This riverbed is practically another world altogether. Hmm, the last time I saw something like this was when a civilization migrated into another world."
"Because the individuals of that civilization are not natives of another world, the myriad phenomena attraction and strong Spiritual Touch Field of their bodies are very different from the Spiritual Touch Field of the world."
"Yes, it's very similar. But here's the problem: this giant serpent should be the original world lord of this world."
Wizard Mike was also somewhat unsure, since his idea was actually unfounded, and the current difference in the Spiritual Touch Field pointed to the fact that the Lord of this world was not a native of the Venom Great World.
Wizard Mike said, "Regardless, I'll record the Spiritual Touch Field here first; it will definitely be useful later. It's valuable experimental data and research material."
Wizard Mike opened a scroll from his Astral Ring, chanted an incantation, and used a magic brush to trace the Spiritual Touch Field on the scroll.
When he reached the second river, Wizard Mike was speechless. "This is practically a cobbled-together organism. Why has the Spiritual Touch Field changed again in the second river?"
Locke's Illusion silently followed beside him, observing the Spiritual Breath and Spirit Macro at the bottom of the river, as well as artifacts from other civilizations that remained there.
Multiple different myriad phenomenal attraction and powerful Spiritual Touch Field appeared within a single organism.
Locke pondered. To call it an alien species or a composite species would be a stretch. Of course, both Summoning Studies and Bloodline School have the ability to create stitched beasts. It's just that that research direction is relatively niche and has low cost-effectiveness, so not many people pursue it.
But I think there's a better explanation for this situation: the independence of the soul First Ring this organism might possess some kind of special ability.
This led to this result.
Locke looked at a golden statue at the bottom of the river. The statue was of an adult man sitting on the ground, holding a tablet in his hands.
"The inscription on this stele is written in very ancient Magic Script. It means—"
"What I once possessed is now lost; I must seek a new immortality. Something that will not decay with the passage of time, something real that distinguishes the mortal from the divine, something that assures me I am not a mere illusion. I will begin anew in this world."
"This seems to be something from an ancient Wizard Civilization. In other words, this world might indeed have some connection to the past of the Wizarding World."
"Of course, this is on the premise that the gold seems to be a product native to this world, and not something left behind by the Eight-Headed Serpent after devouring other worlds."
Locke pondered, "But considering that this world has multiple Elemental Gate leading to other worlds, and behind these Elemental Gate are several Wizard Civilization," this indicates that this place once led to multiple wizarding strongholds, meaning that this place was likely a major transportation route in the past Wizarding World.
This golden statue is most likely a product of this world.
Verifying this is simple; just have Wizard Mike examine the difference between his Spiritual Touch Field and the Spiritual Touch Field of this world.
Locke immediately sought confirmation from Wizard Mike, who confirmed that the golden statue was indeed a product of this world.
Locke fell into deep thought. "Seeking something immortal—what does that mean? Judging from the other person's words, they seem to be in the Pseudo Forging stage. Could it be that they are seeking ' True Nature '?"
Yes.
"True Nature" is very much like what he described, something immortal that will not be erased by reincarnation.
It is unaffected by external factors and is entirely an internal force. It will not be lost due to changes in external Fruit Position, nor will it be gained by devouring others.
Could it be that the owner of this golden statue wanted to move from the Moon Ring to the Sun-Ring?
However, back in the Wizarding World, there probably weren't three Great Mountains of the Root Realm to restrict the wizards' Magic Pressure and force them to improve the level of their Great Magic forging!
This world is highly likely indeed connected to the Wizarding World. Its past holds many secrets, and the strangeness of its world lord likely stems from events that occurred in its past. Perhaps these events were orchestrated by wizards who remained in this world in the past.
Locke pondered as he explored all the waterways, concluding that there was nothing more of value to be found.
"Venom Great World is definitely worth the investment."
"Because the Elemental Gate scattered throughout this world alone are enough to warrant a significant investment of resources from numerous wizarding factions to excavate."
If this place truly is a major transportation route from the Wizarding World of the past, then there's even more to consider. However, I still need to delve deeper into this world to make an accurate assessment of its current situation.
And these are just my guesses; I also need to figure out what exactly happened here that turned it into a God Clan outpost.
In addition, the testing of the Wizard's Shoe and wizard robes needs to continue, and I still need to prepare the Wizard's Shoe design for the Starfield Sea competition!
Locke Phantom leaped onto the riverbank, then stood there and said to Mike, "Mr. Mike, I see you've already recorded the All-Encompassing Pull and Powerful Spiritual Touch Field here. Let's move on to a deeper part of the world."
Wizard Mike pumped his fist. "Good!"
Let's move forward together!
The hem of the Million Mushroom King Wizard Robe on Mike's body automatically transformed into a black spiderweb-like pattern. Then, as the hem of this spiderweb touched the ground, he gently pushed himself up, using the mushroom Mycelium to propel himself onto the riverbank.
While Wizard Mike was moving forward, Locke, along with his students and all the wizards in the project group, began setting up Wizard Array in the Saffron Peach Orchard.
Locke's main body pondered, "To complete the Pseudo Forging of the Moon of Evolution and achieve my envisioned [Pseudo Forging: Spiritual Evolution], I need to obtain a crucial piece of data. Perhaps I can use this opportunity to get it from Mr. Mike. Of course, it's not guaranteed, because quite a few forces have infiltrated the Venom Great World this time."
"I need Mr. Mike to make the most of his wizard robes."
"I've reviewed the information on most of the wizards in Cloud Marsh Wetland, and the most suitable candidate is indeed Mr. Mike from Kunguding."
Locke addressed his team members and students, "Everyone, construct the Wizard Array as quickly as possible according to my design."
The Mario Brothers looked at the Wizard Array diagram in their hands, both wondering what the Wizard Array was for.
Wizard Lix said to his brother, "It seems to be some kind of Ritual Magic, very complex. Even the [Minimum Sanctuary] ritual defense Wizard Array we encountered in the Dragonfall Land wasn't this complex."
Wizard Wood paused, then looked at his two friends. "Wait a minute. How could you two have been to the Land of Dragonfall Land Dragonfall Land? Your records don't say you've been there. Besides, the smallest holy site's defensive ritual Wizard Array isn't [Dragon]..."
Is the [Land of Fallen Angels] Wizard Land used to protect important targets?
The Celt wizard and the Gordon wizard also looked at the two.
The Celt wizard's eyes darted around, and he said calmly, "Completing the task the group leader gave us is the most important thing right now. We can talk about these trivial matters later. The group leader is very skilled in Ritual Magic. Don't you know the relationship between the group leader and the Black Sun Tower? Oh, you don't know anything about the Black Sun Tower either. It's one of the ancient heavens."
"It is the ancestral home of Sacrificial Magic."
As the five team members and all of Locke's students set up the Wizard Array, a hazy moonlight appeared on the laboratory floor.
In the Venom Great World, as Wizard Mike ventures deeper into the world's center, he traverses the L2 region and arrives at the L3 map, which wizards have already explored. With his hand resting on a mountain wall, he moves along the Spiritual Touch Field of the world's mountains.
In the Venom Great World, day and night cycles are exceptionally frequent. At this moment, it was already dark, the ground had become incredibly cold, and the temperature had plummeted.
Wizard Mike swung his Ribbed Steel Staff and smashed it hard against a venomous snake that was trying to ambush him. Instantly, the snake's body was smashed to pieces, and venom splattered onto the surrounding rocks.
The Wizard of Mike saw a campfire rising on a hilltop ahead.
"In the Venom Great World, the nighttime temperature is 200 degrees Celsius lower than the daytime temperature, and the entire world transforms from a land of lava to a land of ice shards. The number of the Venomous Snake Clan lurking at night is also more than ten times that during the day."
Wizard Mike said, "Mr. Locke, shall we join the rest area built by the wizards ahead and take a short break?"
Locke Illusion said, "Sure. You're the expert when it comes to exploration."
As Mike the Wizard chanted the incantation, the Air Pineapple on his feet shot out streaks of Black Lightning towards the ground. He leaped from one mountaintop to another, while countless venomous snakes with angelic wings—the flying snake race—sprayed venom at him. Mike the Wizard, however, wielded the spiral steel in his hand, and a Great Wall appeared in the sky, crushing the countless flying snakes to death from left to right.
The Wizard Mike landed heavily on the ground, his feet slamming into the earth.
He quickly headed towards the campfire.
A group of wizards in robes sat near the campfire. A portly Second-Ring Wizard sitting on a rock glanced at the Star Ring behind Wizard Mike, a hint of doubt in his eyes, but immediately spoke, "This is a protective circle created by the wizards of our Protection School. If you wish to rest here, you will need to pay one hundred Magic Stone each night. Please understand that maintaining this protective circle is not easy. After all, the number of monsters roaming this world increases every night, and maintaining protective magic requires resources."
Wizard Mike handed him one hundred Magic Stone. "Of course."
At this moment, a large number of flying snakes and Venomous Snake Clan on the ground attempted to charge towards the campfire circle. Countless flying snakes and venomous snakes shattered upon impact with the protective circle, leaving blood and toxins everywhere. The few remaining plants in the vicinity had all withered.
Death has decomposed even the soil, leaving only bare rocks.
The air was filled with highly toxic toxins.
A mortal would die instantly from taking just one breath.
No Wizard Apprentice could stay here for long.
Even those wizards resting around the campfire remained vigilant, half-asleep and half-awake, to prevent the campfire from being suddenly breached.
This campfire is heavily protected by Protection School magic; as long as the flames burn, the protection will not disappear.
At that moment, Locke and Mike overheard some Second-Ring Wizard secretly discussing the attack on a wizarding expedition by the guardians of the Magic Poison Spring that they had encountered earlier that day.
"We're too deep into the Venom Great World here. We haven't established sufficient supply lines yet, which is why the expedition team was successfully ambushed during the day. Those wizards were knocked into a volcano, their fate unknown. Could it be that the surging lava in that volcano contains an entrance to an underground world connecting to this plane?"
"Kunguding Academy released a partial map of the underground Spiritual Touch Field, and their report concluded that there was none. But reports shouldn't be taken at face value. Tomorrow we can try entering a volcano crater. I've already brought my Fire Magic robes to protect against flames and high temperatures."
"This time it was a bit rushed. Not only are we unprepared for wizard robes, but we also haven't prepared any potions or magical artifacts to help us withstand high temperatures and poisonous fire—"
Wizard Mike found a rock and sat down. He whispered to the Illusion of Locke, "The expeditions that have made it this far must be the best of the best among wizards. If we go any further, we might not encounter any more wizard companions. If we continue deeper, we won't be able to get any supplies from the Wizard Civilization. But that's what exploration is all about."
"To delve into the unknown, to pursue truth, and to tread paths others dare not or are unwilling to tread—our world has seen, is seeing, and will see an increasing number of courageous individuals."
Locke remained silent, thinking of his senior fellow apprentice, the wizard Trajan.
As the night passed and the sun rose over the Venom World, many wizards left the campfire and set off to explore deeper into the world, each pursuing their own goals.
The Wizard of Mike entered a deep meditative state in the middle of the night, while the Locke Illusion temporarily disappeared.
"Bang~"
The fat wizard from the Protection School poured a bucket of magical water made by a water purifier onto the campfire, instantly extinguishing the already waning flames.
The group of Protection School Wizards dispelled the temporary magical Wizard Array here, preparing to join the expedition from the Magic Nexus City that had hired them to venture deeper into this world.
Wizard Mike sensed a sudden change in his surroundings and quickly opened his eyes, only to see that all the wizards around him were preparing to leave.
"Oh no, I have to set off immediately too. Locke, are you there? Today I'm preparing to continue following the powerful Spiritual Touch Field of the mountain range I'm tracking, heading deeper into this world."
Locke's Illusion appeared beside him. "Okay, I have no objection."
Wizard Mike tidied himself up a bit and continued on his way. Although day and night were changing here, only two hours had passed in the Wizarding World.
Time flows very quickly in the Venom Great World.
However, unlike the Black-and-White World, the concentration gradient of Light of Mind and Magic Tide here is too low, so it is meaningless to increase the flow of time here.
Therefore, some wizard explorers believe that the state of the Venom Great World is very strange. They suspect that there is a Magic Pressure concentration center inside this Greater World, otherwise, a Greater World would not only have a low magical environment.
Less than half an hour after Wizard Mike left, he heard a huge explosion in the distance. He turned around and saw a massive world lord with the Half-Body of a snake's tail and the Half-Body of Wyvern. In front of this world lord was a fountain of magical venom, clearly indicating that the fountain's guardian had attacked the wizard's expedition.
Wizard Mike said, "That direction is—the direction the expedition from Magic Nexus City took last night."
"Were they attacked? That's the guardian of the Magic Poison Spring. That's Moon-Ring Level Magic Pressure, even stronger than an ordinary World Lord."
Wizard Mike found it hard to believe that so many beings with high Magic Pressure could be produced in such an environment. He saw the Serpent Wyvern lord turn its head to look in their direction.
Wizard Mike immediately quickened his pace, slammed his Ribbed Steel Wand into the ground, summoned a rock dragon, and had it carry him away from the area quickly.
Wizard Mike glanced at the Moon-Ring Level Serpent Wyvern lord. "There's no point or need in fighting it."
"Putting aside its incredibly high Magic Pressure, even with the help of wizard robes and Wizard's Shoe, I'd easily be defeated. Besides, the effort spent eliminating it wouldn't be relevant to our objective. Right, Mr. Locke?"
Wizard Mike turned to look at the Illusion of Locke that should have been beside him, only to find that Locke Illusion had already disappeared.
Wizard Mike scratched his head. "They really are elusive."
Mike the Wizard traveled for a whole day through the Venom Great World, and by nightfall, he discovered that this time there were no safe spots for expedition teams to scout out from.
At the same time, many native creatures from the Venom Great World peeked out from the darkness, seemingly keeping an eye on him.
Wizard Mike immediately left the area and found a flat spot. He then inserted his Ribbed Steel Wand into the ground, and a cube appeared behind him. Soon, beams of magical light appeared on the ground, dividing it into cubes. The ground rotated, and in a short while, the ground caved in, revealing a massive underground fortification complex.
Within the fortified area of this complex, Wizard Mike deployed the automatic magic crossbows he had purchased in advance and crafted by Alchemist.
After setting up the arrow, he slept in a bedroom inside the bunker.
"That's the good thing about Constructor; you can have rooms to sleep in and live in while you're exploring."
"Hopefully, we won't run into that Moon-Ring Level Magic Poison Spring guardian tonight."
In the middle of the night, the fortifications shook. Wizard Mike looked up at the ceiling in his bedroom. The Magic Mirror embedded in the ceiling reflected a group of venomous snakes Wyvern charging outside the fortifications. Magic crossbows inside the bunker kept firing arrows at the Wyvern outside.
Seeing that the Wyvern had no chance of breaching the defenses, Wizard Mike closed his eyes and continued meditating.
Locke's Illusion appeared beside Wizard Mike, who also looked at the flock of Wyvern through the Magic Mirror. "I now suspect that the Magic Poison Spring used the construction technology of Magic Fountain. All the creatures in this world seem to have First Ring level of boundary awareness. This world is extremely dangerous for First-Ring Wizard and Wizard Apprentice. But so far, we haven't encountered Second Ring beings."
"I didn't sense any Second Ring level cultivation from the guardian I encountered during the day. It only superficially reached the Moon-Ring Level of Magic Pressure."
The next day, Wizard Mike woke up. He did not destroy the underground fortress. As Constructor, he hoped that the structure he had built could survive, and perhaps in the future, when a wizard explored the Venom Great World here, his underground fortress could be of some help to that wizard.
Next, the Wizard of Mike spent five days in the Venom Great World.
Wizard Mike never encountered another wizard again. Looking at the area filled with volcanoes, he said, "Here..."
The temperature is around 300 degrees Celsius. Lord Locke, I think this area is already one that very few wizarding expeditions can reach.
"Perhaps I am the first wizard to set foot here."
Locke suddenly sensed something. "Wizard Mike, thank you for your hard work these past few days. I have indeed seen many novel things. Wizard Mike, I hope you will proceed according to my instructions. I have something I need to confirm."
"Confirm?" Mike asked. "In this place?"
Mike didn't hesitate much. "Okay. The wizard robes and Wizard's Shoe you lent me are very useful. With their help, I was able to venture so deep into the Venom Great World this time; otherwise, I would have been forced to turn back halfway. Mr. Locke, wherever you say, I'll go."
Mike the Wizard activated the Wizard's Shoe on his feet, and streaks of Black Lightning flashed across the ground. At the same time, he used Earth Magic to reduce the effect of Plane Gravity on him, and he leaped thousands of meters high. Then, Mike the Wizard jumped towards the direction Locke had specified.
Although the Venom Great World has some very threatening world lords, it is Greater World vast universe with a large area, so the probability of encountering those world lords is not that high.
As long as they are not specifically targeted.
Half an hour later, Wizard Mike stood atop a rock pillar. He saw rock pillars all around him, and beneath them lay scorching lava and a sea of deadly poison. The lava and poison mixed together, their color resembling water and grease. Both sides...
They couldn't blend together; instead, they became stuck together in a sticky mess.
When Wizard Mike saw the vast, poisonous sea below, which resembled an inland ocean, his expression changed slightly. "Mr. Locke, do you mean we should jump in?"
Are you sure you can go down?
Locke's Illusion pondered for a moment. "I can't be completely sure either. But you have the Million Mushroom Wizard Robe, and even if there's a Venom Inland Sea below, I think there's a chance you can dive to the bottom. I'm certain there's someone from my past beneath that sea."
"I hope you'll jump into this Venom Inland Sea."
Wizard Mike saw a Venom Flying Serpent momentarily lose its footing and be struck by a wave of venom from mid-air. The snake didn't last a second; it was instantly corroded into bones, which then vaporized.
Mike the Wizard's expression changed several times.
This is practically suicide.
Locke Illusion said, "Of course, according to the contract, you can also refuse."
Wizard Mike raised his fist. "Fine. Then let me see who's stronger, me or the Venom of this world!"
The next moment, he jumped down, and in an instant, his wizard robes turned into a black spiderweb pattern. A Black Mushroom appeared on his back, with many white circles on it, like a mushroom pattern.
Countless streams of venom crashed down on his body.
Mike Wizard immediately sensed that his Permanent Defense Field and Great Magic were being corroded by the venom, which was constantly being eroded. The venom was seeping into his bones, his breath, and the depths of his soul. He felt uncomfortable for about sixty seconds, but the Million Mushroom King Wizard Robe adapted to the venom, and then he immediately felt comfortable.
"What an amazing wizard's robe." Wizard Mike glanced gratefully at the Illusion of Locke beside him.
He then used magic to increase his own gravity, and he sank rapidly, continuing to descend.
Looking down at what seemed like an endless sea of venom, Wizard Mike felt a growing sense of unease. At the same time, he realized that the Million Mushroom King Wizard Robe weren't limitless either; they were beginning to tear, and the damage was increasing over time.
Just as the Mike's worries were growing, his falling speed suddenly increased, and soon he crashed onto a hard surface.
"It hurts so much."
Mike the Wizard got up, drops of venom dripping from his wizard robes, which were tattered and torn in places. Mike quickly took out the Mycelium Petri Dish Locke had given him from his Astral Ring, crushed the dish, and let the Mycelium drip onto his robes. Soon, the robes began to repair themselves rapidly.
Another advantage of the Mycelium Wizard Robe is that it is easy to repair!
Since it's a biological material, just a drop of Mycelium on it will quickly repair it.
Wizard Mike looked up and saw that he was surrounded by a Golden City.
Where is this place?
Wizard Mike's eyes widened, gleaming with excitement. "My God, it's like we've arrived at the Realm of Dusk and Dawn and the Bright! There are so many ruins here Realm of Dusk and Dawn!"
Locke's Illusion said, "It's not just a similar style; this is the ancient architectural ruins of the Realm of Dusk and Dawn. The ground still retains the Mana of the Golden Magic from back then."
The Illusion of Locke did not continue to answer Mike, but instead, in its Illusion form, quickly headed off in one direction.
Soon, amidst the ruins of buildings and the floor filled with golden Magic Power and covered with runes, he spotted a familiar figure in the distance: Sera, the Necromancy from the Southern Witch Capital, and a witch she was conversing with. The witch's body seemed to be the color of the universe, with stars flickering within her, and her eyes were filled with profound depth.
The witch angrily said to Sera, "How dare you appear before me, and even possess someone else's body!"
Where were you when the God Clan invaded this land? Now you want to come looking for me? Too late.
"Lich God, do you want me that badly?"
"Then I'll give you a chance. Come with me, and you won't regret it. This is the truth of the world."
Suddenly, the witch grabbed Sera's waist, and amidst Sera's terrified gaze and screams, the witch transformed into a black hole, absorbing the screaming Sera into it.
Sera cried out for help. "Lich God, I'm working for you now! Please save me!"
No. No----
"Lich God, I have already become you, how can you still use me like this! No!"
The black hole disappeared quickly.
Before disappearing, the mysterious witch curled her lips into a mocking sneer, and at the same time glanced in surprise in Locke's direction. Their eyes met.
Locke raised an eyebrow.
The ruins that suddenly appeared at the Realm of Dusk and Dawn in this world, and that mysterious witch who didn't look human at all.
And that Sera.
The secrets of the Venom Great World are becoming increasingly abundant.
Locke turned around and saw the Lich God standing beside him. "If I'm not mistaken, you seem to have possessed Sera. Sera's soul is no longer pure."
"So you weren't taken away by that mysterious witch?"
The Lich God spoke in a deep voice, "Locke Augustine, my future friend, I see that in the near future you will understand and accept my path, and become my friend. Therefore, as the Lord of Forms, the Lord of the Void Forging, I consider you a friend who has strayed from the right path. Sooner or later, you will see through the illusion of this world constructed of Constancy and become my companion."
"Locke Augustine, I didn't expect you to find your way here."
"Logically speaking, the Venom Great World is so vast that no wizarding explorer could find this place. I see, it seems I miscalculated before. In order to obtain Sera, I deliberately made him use Spirit-Calling Art on you. And during this process, as someone burdened with the blood of sin, you used Ritual Magic to manipulate the Spirit-Calling Art he used. Even after I possessed him, you still controlled his movements; you used the ritual connection to lock onto Sera's location."
The Lich God said to Locke Augustine, "Locke Augustine, I can tell you that the Venom Great World was originally part of the Wizarding World."
Locke remained calm. "I will judge for myself whether it is true or false."
"What you told me was a mixture of truth and falsehood; I can't completely disbelieve it, nor can I believe it entirely. You also told me before that the mastermind behind the Probus incident was the Death God Elective Society. You've played word games with me before."
That statement isn't entirely wrong.
The Nameless Emperor Death God Elective Society, and Probus and the White Frost Witch were indeed with the Death God Elective Society.
I met him from the group of candidate wizards.
The Lich God laughed, "A wizard destined to become my friend in the future. Lies are indeed the most efficient communication tool."
Locke asked, "What is your purpose in sending Sera here?"
What is your purpose in appearing before me?
The Lich God, "I have come here to reclaim a portion of the Wizard Civilization that fell into the hands of the God Clan. I am here to bring long-lost justice. I am here to reclaim the seeds I sowed in the past. I meet with you because only this time will you and I stand on the same side."
"This wizard lord, who fell into the hands of the God Clan, must return to the wizards' hands after thousands, even tens of thousands of years. Locke Augustine, as the Lord of the Void Forging, I invite you to join us in our crusade against the Persepolis God Clan and the Wandering Ghosts. Let black and white, good and evil, be balanced once more here."
Locke ignored the Lich God's seductive words and looked into the depths of the Golden City Ruins. "This ruin is vast. The ruins at the Realm of Dusk and Dawn have a tradition of recording history. I can learn about this world's past simply by reading the inscriptions on the buildings within this ruin. Therefore, I don't need an alliance with you."
The Lich God laughed heartily, "How can you be so sure this is the complex at the Realm of Dusk and Dawn?"
The next moment, the magical runes on the surface of every building lit up.
The Lich God said to Locke in a deep voice, "To prevent any accidents, I still cannot let you explore this building."
"This complex is currently under my control. Goodbye for now, Locke. From the moment you entered, all information was prevented from spreading outwards. Don't even think about analyzing the power of this place through the images recorded by the True Sight Crystal."
Let's search for the answers in the deeper parts of this world.
A blinding golden light enveloped the entire city, and Wizard Mike looked around, bewildered.
"What... what happened?"
He was surrounded by light.
Immediately afterward, when the light faded, Wizard Mike looked around and discovered that he had been teleported.
Wizard Mike observed the powerful Spiritual Touch Field surrounding them. "I—Mr Locke, we've been teleported directly from the depths of L3 Area to L2 Area."
"That's like me wasting five whole days of my life."
"Wait, the video recordings are gone too. The powerful Spiritual Touch Field I recorded earlier has also disappeared. Everything is gone—"
At this moment, the True Sight Crystal's image playback returned to normal, and the wizards who had been watching the live stream refocused their attention. Meanwhile, Argos, who was in the Solas Barefoot Conference Room, happily watched Locke and Mike's live stream reappear on screen.
Argos said, "Quick, pinpoint their location using the live stream. We've finally found them again."
"Hmm? Hmm? Ah? Ah! Ah?!"
Argos was initially happy to have regained Locke's position, but then he saw Annie and Lex wizard Lex on the video feed.
The two men quickly approached the Wizard Mike.
Argos was dumbfounded. "This—this—how could he be in the Venom Great World!"
"What's gotten into him? That witch—she's also a wizard from our Academic Lineage, from our faction. What—what are they trying to do?"
Argos suddenly had a bad feeling.
This wasn't part of the plan.
He stole a glance at the Rose Throne and the expressionless Rose Witch, who were watching everything with great interest.
