At its core, a Leaf of Power was created when Locke voluntarily yielded part of the total Magic Pressure of his Forest Sanctuary.

Because his Permanent Defense Field had become a four-dimensional Permanent Defense Field Shell, the shell could now draw directly on the power of his Forest Sanctuary.

That had deepened his connection to the Forest Sanctuary.

Using the Permanent Defense Field Shell, he could transfer some of the Forest Sanctuary's energy into a tree's leaves, condense it into a special leaf of Life Energy, and inscribe a Spell Model on it. The result was a Leaf of Power: a unique piece of spellcasting equipment.

Locke had drawn the idea from the World Tree Leaf. This was his attempt to imitate it.

For now, though, he could draw only on the portion of his Forest Sanctuary within the Heidenberg Plane.

He would have to wait until that portion grew strong enough to connect with his Forest Sanctuary in the Subspace Belt. Only then could he draw energy from the latter.

Locke took his time. He used the Moon Goddess Blessing Spell to awaken an ordinary holly tree, then walked through the forest using the Holly Treant as his incarnation.
