Witch Catherine picked up the stone stele Locke had given her and frowned slightly. "Don't accept gifts from devils lightly."
Locke immediately asked, "Teacher, what is it? Is something wrong with it?"
Witch Catherine said, "In the terminology of the new routes, this is a world wonder. Place it in a world no larger than medium-to-large scale, and it can accelerate time for the people, objects, and powers within. Simply put, you can think of it as an acceleration card for a specific area. Its maximum range is roughly a medium-to-large world."
"This is very useful to you."
"But it's been cursed, allowing them to locate you. That isn't a problem, though. Even if the devils know where you are and who you are, it won't matter as long as you're on my Golden Crown Mountain. Besides, devils aren't a civilized race that frets over the gifts they give away. They love investing, and investments always involve wins and losses. So they don't care too much about what they've given away."
Witch Catherine said, "Within the landscape of the Infinite Void, the Wizarding World and Baator Hell are quasi-allies. So letting them know your location and identity is of little consequence."
Locke froze for a moment. He hadn't expected Baator Hell and the Wizarding World to be quasi-allies.
Witch Catherine said, "The Bottomless Abyss wants to devour our world outright, causing our entire world to fall into it. In fact, some planes of the Bottomless Abyss once belonged to the Wizarding World."
"Baator Hell, on the other hand, wants a true alliance with us, which is why they try to tempt some of our senior wizards. Of course, despite being quasi-allies, Baator Hell would invade us immediately if it had the chance."
"We both cooperate with them and wage war
