Background / History
Bosco is a long-serving Owl Wizard Academy figure who transferred his assigned Mentor Different Dimension into the Mysterious Great Hall so it could serve as the Enforcement Department headquarters. He instead lives in a modest residential house beside it. He also spends months each year hunting wanted criminals, using the rewards to supply the academy's Material Library and reduce basic-material prices by more than thirty percent. 95
His hunting is not indiscriminate: Bosco investigates the causes behind wanted cases and kills only criminals he judges utterly beyond redemption. His reputation for strictly enforcing academy rules nevertheless makes him a feared “Demon King” among troublesome apprentices. 126 156
Bosco previously studied at the City of the Sky, a Mechanical Alchemy Holy Land. After returning, he forged numerous communal academy devices because he considered older methods too labor-intensive. 99
His lifespan is nearing its limit. This, combined with his long record of offending other wizards while protecting the academy, leads him to refuse Arro's request to become his formal student at first; he fears formally accepting Arro would expose the boy to retaliation. 106
Anthony, Bosco's former student, eventually exploits his knowledge of Bosco's magic and the academy's Power Core to defeat and imprison him. Bosco refuses to surrender or compromise his principles, but remains chiefly concerned with rescuing the students trapped in Alice's Mist Different Dimension. 155 156 162 His consciousness later appears as a projection while his body remains imprisoned, before he escapes his restraints on a black falcon. 188 275
Appearance
Bosco is an elderly yet meticulously groomed wizard whose formal bearing remains imposing even in old age. 95 153
- Snow-white hair combed neatly back. 153
- Clean, carefully trimmed silver beard. 153
- Brown eyes and resolute features. 107 153
- Usually wears immaculate, formal black clothing; he has also been seen carrying a gentleman's cane. 120 153
- Maintains a ramrod-straight posture and precise, measured movements. 85 153
Personality
Bosco is stern, disciplined, and deeply principled. He views power as a means to protect the academy and its students, rejecting Anthony's belief that sacrifice and manipulation are acceptable paths to prestige. 155 156
Despite his intimidating reputation and title, he is considerate toward apprentices. He refuses to let students lose time gathering Fluorescent Powder for free, funds the Material Library with his bounty earnings, and values seeing young people “grow up healthy” above material reward. 95 97
He is patient with genius and unusually receptive to unconventional ideas. Though initially confused by Arro's Octagonal Mirror Method, he offers Contribution Points, experimental assistance, and academic credit rather than dismissing it. 105 His protectiveness can also become forceful: he threatens Dora through the Beast of Justice and compels her to swear never to use Arro as a weapon. 107

Bosco first intervenes when Arro submits Fluorescent Powder, taking the remainder and granting him Contribution Points. 84 Arro later visits Bosco's residence to cultivate a connection with him, discovering Bosco's respected status, humble living conditions, puppet-filled home, and contributions to the academy. 95
Research Mentor
