Background / History

Origin and contract with Lugh

The Halloween Queen was originally a solar Spirit of the Planet with no inherent connection to the Celtic Pantheon or Halloween. During the destruction of the Celtic Pantheon, the dying Sun God Lugh used his own Spirit and the Celtic festival of Samhain to summon her into Little Garden. He entrusted the Pantheon's worldview and banner to her, binding her to a contract to restore the Pantheon. 204 516 634

Little Garden's observation allowed her Spirit to expand rapidly. By observing and absorbing solar Spirits across other worlds, she became Little Garden's sole sun and an exceptional Third Rank existence. 516 634

First Solar Sovereignty War

Her conflict with the White Night King began over their competing claims to the sun's Star Spirit identity. Seeking to reclaim the Solar Sovereignties divided among other pantheons, the Halloween Queen initiated the First Solar Sovereignty War. She failed to reunite the Sovereignties and lost further portions of her own authority, leaving her unable to advance fully. 201 205 634

Following that failure, she became more deliberate in her actions. She continued pursuing two necessary conditions for advancement: restoring the Celtic Pantheon and recovering her complete Solar Sovereignty. 205 206

Restoration of Avalon

The Halloween Queen spent countless years attempting to revive the Celtic Pantheon, whose remaining members were largely mortal apart from Scathach. During the chaos surrounding the Sealed World, she brought King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table into Little Garden and established the Avalon Community, briefly making it ruler of the lower Southern District. 202 203

Saigō's destruction of Avalon and seizure of its Spirit disrupted those preparations, prompting the Queen to confront him. Rather than continue as enemies, the two recognized their compatible objectives and formed an alliance: Saigō could provide access to worlds outside Little Garden's observation, while the Queen could support his wider plans. 202 204 206

Rebirth of the Celtic Pantheon

With candidates and Communities gathered from worlds located by Saigō, the Queen finally acquired the foundation needed to restore her Pantheon. She used the final remnant of the Celtic Divine Group Worldview to initiate its resurrection, and Little Garden recognized the reborn Celtic Pantheon with the Halloween Queen as its Lord. 432 516

The revival elevated her to an incomplete Second Rank, but the Solar Sovereignties retained by the White Night King still prevented her from becoming whole. 517 519 565

Second Solar Sovereignty War

The Halloween Queen prepared the Second Solar Sovereignty War as her final opportunity to reclaim every Solar Sovereignty. She selected Saigō Homura as her representative and assigned him to research the Third Star Particle, unlock the power bestowed by his brother, and fight on her behalf. 573 574

Although the war initially left her Solar Sovereignty incomplete, the White Night King ultimately returned the remaining portions. With all twenty-four Sovereignties restored, the Halloween Queen became a complete Second Rank and a Domain Holder. 633 634

Appearance

The Halloween Queen is an ethereally beautiful and imposing woman whose presence is repeatedly compared to the sun. Her elegance and sovereign bearing inspire reverence even before she displays her power. 203 217 572

  • Long, lustrous golden hair, often described as cascading like sunlight or golden sand. 207 212
  • Deep ruby-red eyes, sometimes flecked with gold, carrying a cold and commanding gaze. 203 212
  • Fair, jade-like skin and a statuesque, graceful figure. 203 217
  • Commonly wears formal gowns in gold and red, accompanied by crystal high heels and an ornate crown. 203 217 228
  • Her true presence can overwhelm weaker observers; Saigō Homura experiences pain merely from looking directly at her face. 572

Personality

The Halloween Queen is willful, proud, and intensely protective of her dignity. When enraged, her aura can warp her palace and terrify ordinary attendants, yet she is not characterized as bloodthirsty. 201 202

Despite her reputation as a “Problem Child,” she is calculating rather than reckless. She weighs benefits, recognizes when direct confrontation would be disadvantageous, and is willing to negotiate with a Demon King when an alliance serves her objective. 203 205 206

Her central motivation is the restoration of the Celtic Pantheon and her own complete solar authority. Many of her apparently inconsistent political choices—supporting a Demon King, then supporting resistance against one—are calculated attempts to create a path toward those goals. 205

The Queen can be self-centered and vindictive, particularly toward the White Night King, whom she humiliates once she has the advantage. However, her partnership with Saigō gradually develops from mutual utility into friendship, trust, and a romantic bond. 218 222 316 518
