He entered the mansion’s banquet hall and faced Laplace, who revealed that he had sent Pride and Glatoni to attack Shade’s inn and that his partner wanted to test Shade before the feast began.

• Maria told Shade the Church hoped he would prevent the Seer Association traitor from becoming a Chosen One, and Shade described his plans for the candidates.
• Maria promised Shade a Philosopher’s Stone and a Heart of the Living Dead after the Battle of Green Lake, then gave him a measure of power that left a leaf-shaped mark on his arm.
• Shade entered Edwards Old House and found its halls filled with dancing townspeople, but Megan was absent from the banquet hall.

• Tifa and Miss Hailey Aurora coordinated the inn's defenses while Leisha comforted Angelina beside the campfire.
• A roar and the arrival of two badly wounded young ladies alerted the inn that a fierce battle was underway outside.
• Angelina interpreted Little Mia's cries as a warning, used a burning piece of firewood to reveal Pride Edwards on the stairs, and escaped when Leisha pulled her away.
• Pride Edwards fell into the Sun-powered campfire, was burned, and fled through a window.

Shade escaped the Bone Collector’s battle and navigated the distorted spaces inside Edwards Old House, rescuing Durut Giles and destroying a mechanical woman. He reached the lakeshore, where a horde of Water Ghosts with metallic heads approached, and prepared to unleash Red Moon Fall.

• Doctor Schneider and Priest Augustus found Shade fighting the Bone Collector and intervened, with the priest turning its summoned servants against it and the doctor attacking its skull necklace.
• Shade left the doctor and priest to fight the Bone Collector, opened a hidden passage through the Bone Repository, and found Durut Giles locked inside a coffin.
• Shade rescued Durut Giles, returned to Edwards Old House, and followed the red thread to the second-floor dining room, where he destroyed a towering woman made of flesh and machinery.
• Shade passed through another Space Connection and arrived at the island’s lakeshore, where a mass of Water Ghosts with metallic heads emerged from the lake.
• Shade rose into the air and gathered moonlight in his hand to cast Miss Danist’s thaumaturgy, Red Moon Fall.

Angelina was pulled into the relic Long Slumber in the Cold Dream, where Little Mia’s fiery breath helped her resist a shadow before Galina and the others woke her. Galina set out to help Shade, and Luvia’s divination led her to the shore, where Shade fought lake monsters as he sought a door guarded by a huge creature.

• Angelina fell asleep at Green Lake Inn and found herself trapped in a freezing dream, where a robed shadow approached her.
• Little Mia breathed a small flame that freed Angelina from the cold and drove the shadow back, before Galina woke her from the relic’s dream.
• Galina comforted Angelina, then learned from Tifa that Shade and his companions had gone searching for him.
• Luvia used Shade’s handkerchief to divine his direction and headed out into the rain, while Galina followed her lead.
• Galina reached the shore and saw Shade destroy a falling Snowball and blast lake monsters apart, as he sensed a door beneath the lake guarded by a huge creature.

Shade fought through the lake and returned to Edwards Old House, where Miss Pawo gave him a key and warned him about Laplace Howard’s ties to the Blood Spirit School. He reached the Lightless Woodland and faced a faceless Thirteenth Ring copy of Howard, the last obstacle before the banquet.

• Miss Galina returned and used her Decree to repel the Water Ghosts and hold the lake monster back while Shade dove to the lakebed and entered the mansion.
• Shade sensed Megan and Audrey in the basement, but encountered Miss Pawo in the entry hall, where she handed him a key and took the record she had been playing.
• Miss Pawo told Shade that Laplace Howard had worked with the Blood Spirit School, which helped the diviner use the Puppeteer's Script to draw the Witches away from the hotel.

At Green Lake Inn, Luvia read Angelina’s future and discussed the final safeguard with Dorothy and Leisha before Iluna arrived, ready to support Shade. Luvia divined how Iluna could help defeat Envy Edwards and sent her back into the rain with a cryptic instruction about the God of Love’s Thorn.

Shade and Iluna unlocked the blood-red door beneath the Edwards Old House and entered a strange space leading to the final Edwards Family Banquet. There they faced Laplace Klein Edwardz, who said the ritual was nearly complete and warned them they would soon fall if they did not take their seats.

• Shade failed to force the blood-red door open with the Door Key, so he and Iluna turned the final two keys together.
• The thirteen keys lit up, and the metal door melted into a root-covered archway that opened a passage into another space beneath the Edwards Old House.
• Shade retrieved a parchment about the Philosopher’s Stone, then he and Iluna opened the banquet hall doors.
• Shade and Iluna found Laplace Klein Edwardz and his descendants gathered around a table; most were unconscious, while Sloth Edwardz, Gluttony Edwards, and Jarvis Edwardz were awake.

The red butterflies carrying Grace and Helen flew toward the inn, leaving Qi Na behind as the island’s transformation unfolded.

• Iluna and Shade watched the Church and other Ring Arcanists battle monsters as they tried to land on the island.
• Howard explained that he had seen a nonexistent segment of Spacetime and chose to leave the doomed world with civilization’s last kindling rather than trust others to avert its destruction.
• Howard told Shade and Iluna to let the banquet begin, and a violent upheaval lifted the banquet hall fragment into the rainy sky.
• The Edwards Apotheosis Art activated, causing crimson roots to glow across the island and a gigantic blood-red tree to grow from beneath Edwards Old House.

Shade and Iluna confronted Laplace Howard after he began the Edwards Apotheosis Art, while the Edwards Family erupted into a battle across the floating banquet hall. The fight continued above the Blood-Colored Giant Tree, where Shade’s Red Dragon Force struck Laplace hard enough to surprise him.

• Laplace Howard thanked Shade and Iluna for helping complete the ritual’s final node, but refused Shade’s demand to abandon the Edwards Apotheosis Art.
• Megan, Nadia Furen, and Mr. Green broke free and attacked the blood-red branches as members of the Edwards Family fought one another.

• Shade and Iluna destroyed the Diviner’s first body, but they could not find his main body.
• The Diviner emerged as a giant formed from the Blood-Colored Giant Tree’s canopy and attacked the wreckage, but Shade and Iluna blasted through his face with their combined Sun-Moon Thaumaturgy.
• Megan restrained Sloth Edwards, the six-generation twins defeated the Corpse Ghoul brothers, and Nadia Furen and the Follen Brothers overcame Gluttony Edwards.

As the Edwards Family's Apotheosis Art began, the Blood-Colored Giant Tree produced a vast fruit containing the hidden Diviner Laplace Klein Howard. Shade and Iluna tried to stop his birth, but the fruit turned aside their attacks and unleashed an army of undead, forcing their allies into the fight.

• Megan and the Edwards Family felt the Unifier's power awaken as the tree stopped growing, and Megan replaced her black forehead symbol with her golden holy emblem.
• Miss Danist led the Witches toward the tree, while Grace and Helen asked Luvia to accompany them; Dorothy and Leisha stayed behind.
• The tree's accumulated blood-red power formed a giant fruit, and Laplace Klein Howard became visible inside as the island's people chanted.
• Iluna and the others attacked the fruit, but it absorbed or redirected their blows, so Shade grabbed Iluna and prepared to leap toward it.

As Laplace emerged as “Edwardz,” the Chosen One of the Earth engaged his stronger form, but Edwardz attacked everyone left on the ruins and pierced them with blood spikes.

• Priest Augustus rang the skull’s bell, drawing the souls and the Soul Story Book away from the ruins, but Doctor Schneider could not get the Green siblings through the barrier.
• Shade agreed not to call upon the gods if Laplace Klein Howard spared Soren Green, Helena Green, Megan Edwards, and Audrey Edwards, and the Green siblings escaped with Doctor Schneider.

Angelina and Little Mia stopped them from merging, and the sisters reached the Sixth Ring as they turned away.

With space collapsing beyond the island, Shade flew into the sky to help her repair it.

• Shade invoked Primal Rift and began the Chosen One Ritual, hoping his presence in the united whole would prevent anyone from becoming a Chosen One.
• The ritual forcibly separated Shade, Megan, and Audrey, but continued with Dorothy and Leisha assisting, and the girl at its center became the Space Chosen One.
