After celebrating the new year and passing their exams, Shade traveled to Fatumonst Island, where he confronted a merchant possessed by a Demon Sword and learned of a missing Ring Arcanist. He then entered the Gravestone Wasteland to help Theresa and Sister Belen search for the First Fire and a way back to the living world, promising to return with everyone and the fire.

• Shade celebrated the arrival of 1855 with his family, then entered the Dream of the Old Days with the Witches before Doctor Schneider returned from Winterfell and explained his discoveries beneath a glacier.
• Shade and his companions passed their advancement exams, and Shade advanced to eighth grade with an Excellent rating before drawing the relic bullet Fist of the Sun.
• Shade traveled with Sylvia to Fatumonst City, bought Lucky Coins and information at the Clock Tower Black Market, and accepted Mr. Mortis’s commission to find the missing Magic Potion Merchant.
• Shade tracked the merchant to Holt Village, where the Demon Sword made him attack people, and defeated him with the Great Sin Chains and Dragon Scale Sword.
• Shade activated a Time Key and arrived in the Gravestone Wasteland, where he escaped his coffin, met Theresa and Sister Belen, and helped rescue Giana Liad from her grave.
• Shade and Theresa searched the graves, found Maggie Chandler, and collected Burial Objects while learning that the group needed seven to locate the First Fire and thirteen to find a way back to the living world.
• Shade joined Sister Belen to explore the wasteland, fought off Corpse Ghouls, and found a Gold False Tooth among the gravestones.
• Sister Belen offered to teach Shade to sense the First Fire, but Shade declined for now because of his agreement with his Nun, after she burned the cleaver-wielding dead, he collected three Gold Bracelets and reburied Steve Royston’s grave.

Shade investigated the Gravestone Wasteland, then joined Claire Reinhart on Snow Mountain as a deadly Demon Sword and a spatial relic threatened their allies. After Shade helped rescue Claire, he learned more about the Bone King and the world’s ancient deities from Sister Devlin.

• Shade traded burial objects for information in the Gravestone Wasteland and followed a spirit hound to Lina, who asked him to rescue her daughter and free her from the Corpse Tree.
• Shade returned to his companions, identified the Demon Sword as the Sword Spawn Mother Nest, and traveled with Sylvia to Snow Mountain to meet Elder Harald.
• Shade and Claire Reinhart fought the sword wielders, then became trapped with Elder Harald in the Infinite Duel Corridor, where they defeated the Fat Fishmonger and sealed the Demon Sword.
• Claire brought Shade to Kael-Todd Town, taught him Thunderclap Wave, and sparred with him before he returned to Tobesk and told the witches about her.
• After Claire disappeared while searching Snow Mountain, Shade, Sylvia, and Vanessa found a cave affected by the Wall of Disorder, and Sylvia sent Shade through the relic to find her.
• Shade rescued Claire from the Ice Sculpture, then joined the Great Witches and Sister Devlin in defeating the Heartless Worm that controlled it.
• Shade told Claire that her companions were safe and gave her Good Luck talismans before she reunited with Stella Larson and planned to return to the mountain.
• Shade reported Claire’s Attack of Fate to the witches, then told Sister Devlin about the Gravestone Wasteland and learned that the Bone King had existed before the Ancient Gods departed.

Shade investigated the Demon Sword threat and the spreading corruption on Fatumonst Snow Mountain, while Fate Relics drew him and Claire into a larger island story. After purifying the mountain and receiving a vision from the Ice Jade, Shade was recognized as an honorary Fatu elder and glimpsed a step on his Demigod Road.

• Shade learned about the Demon Sword’s threat, met the rescued Sargent, and agreed to help purify the Snow Mountain’s worst contamination.
• Shade and Claire followed her childhood friend, fought cultists over the Fate Weaver Silk, and escaped a dangerous shadow by teleporting to Fatumonst Island.
• Shade learned the cultists sought to strengthen the Prophecy Spinning Wheel, then found the Space Labyrinth beneath Sylvia’s Snow Mountain tower.
• Shade joined Claire and Stella in purifying a contaminated spring, where he encountered Long-Haired Luvia across time and drove Kalle Fortuna away with Little Mia’s cry.
• Shade discovered that Claire had a role in the Chosen of Fate’s story and identified the Puppeteer’s Script, Prophecy Spinning Wheel, and Crossroads Kaleidoscope as likely forces shaping it.
• After cleansing the abandoned auditorium, Shade received Chloe’s Witch Echo, engraved the Ice and Snow Ling Rune, and gained new Thaumaturgies.
• The Fatu elders considered Claire for the Ten Thousand Spirits Festival and named Shade their sixth Elder after the Ice Jade showed a vision of the Snow Mountain in flames.
• Shade was honored as a Fatu People member, saw a vision of himself leaping from the mountain, and learned that he had glimpsed the second step of his Demigod Road.

Shade investigated Fatumonst Island’s fate and the Ice and Snow Castle while Luvia gained the Space Spirit Rune. When Black Hand Tiferon seized the Sword Spawn Mother Nest, Shade helped protect an injured Unicorn, and Emilia began treating it as the Speaker prepared to investigate.

• Elder Ursa gave Shade the Steel Snake Thaumaturgy, and Luvia later entered a spatial anomaly alone to seek spatial power.
• Shade and his companions entered the collapsing anomaly to find Luvia, who gained the Space Spirit Rune after defeating a giant snake, and they then drove off eight Demon Sword wielders and kept one sealed.
• Shade visited Claire Reinhart’s family and learned from Old Harman’s silk that it described entering the struggle for Destiny and becoming a Chosen of Fate.
• Shade and Claire searched Snow Mountain for the Ice and Snow Castle, while Shade and Flora later watched the Church battle Demon Swords there.
• Camille Eden fought the fused Demon Swords, but Black Hand Tiffon escaped with the Sword Spawn Mother Nest after wounding Camille and attacking Claire.
• Shade survived the demon’s attack and treated a wounded Unicorn, while Flora and Claire helped arrange care for it at Snow Mountain Hall.
• Doctor Schneider gave Shade a ring and bullets to use against Black Hand-Tifron, and Shade later brought Emilia to examine the Unicorn.
• Emilia drew a Serpent’s Shedding that named her mission to save an injured Unicorn, then treated it with Mystic Incantations as Claire announced the Speaker would visit.
