Dorothy knew that Shade would be saying goodbye to Luvia, who was leaving the city next Monday, so she left Saint Derain Square after breakfast. Once Shade had finished packing, he took Mia to the apartment Luvia was renting.
Iluna happened to be there when they arrived. It was obvious that the seventeen-year-old girl was having a particularly hard time adjusting to Luvia's departure. She looked even more upset than Shade did.
Luvia did not actually have much luggage to pack. Shade made sure she had the Youthful Immortality Leaf with her, while Iluna gave her a Sunlight Gun Brooch. As Iluna herself grew stronger, the Alchemy Items she made of this type were becoming more powerful as well.
With nothing else to do, Shade spent that leisurely Sunday wandering around the city with the two girls. They visited the City History Museum together in the morning, had lunch at a club Iluna knew well at noon, and spent the afternoon back at 6 Saint Derain Square. The three discussed subjects that interested them: Shade's time adventure that morning and Luvia's plans after arriving in Randall River Valley.
After dinner, Shade took them to a concert, which finally improved Iluna's mood somewhat. Looking at her, one might have thought Iluna, rather than Luvia, was the one about to embark on a long journey.
Luvia would depart directly from the Seer Association tomorrow morning, so neither Shade nor Iluna needed to see her off. She therefore planned to spend the night at Saint Derain Square. At eight that evening, Shade escorted Iluna to her doorstep, intending to wait until she boarded her carriage before leaving.
