"Green Lake does sound quite interesting."
At the dinner table that evening, Dorothy was there in addition to Shade. The Blonde Young Lady listened to Shade recount what he had seen that day and viewed the scenery of the Green Lake Region in the book he had taken out using the thaumaturgy Silver Moon Library:
"Neighboring cities, different destinies. If you added twins separated in childhood, living entirely different lives in the two cities before unexpectedly meeting again in old age, that would be absolutely perfect material for a story."
Miss Writer said, then added:
"Of course, if it were written as a detective novel, then against this sort of urban backdrop, there should be a murder case intricately tied to the nobles of both cities. It would be best if it involved the grudges and romances of the previous generation, along with some illegitimate children and siblings unknowingly committing incest. I think that would make the story much more compelling."
"There had better not be a murder case. With the negotiations about to begin, the police on both sides would practically rush over to punish anyone they saw spitting on the street. If there were a murder at a time like this, the police would probably be the first to collapse."
Shade said as he watched Mia unhappily paw at the cat-shaped glass ornament he had brought home on the tabletop. It was not simply made of glass. The cat's tail, eyes, and limbs had been painted with yellow oil paints, while its body remained transparent, making the ornament more artistic.
"You don't need to take what Leisha asked you to do too seriously. I know she places great importance on these negotiations, but she cannot let that delay your own affairs."
Dorothy added, unusually dissatisfied with Leisha's actions:
