Saturday noon, 6 Saint Derain Square.

Dorothy, wearing an apron and humming an unknown tune, was in quite a good mood as she carried a plate of beef stew to the dining table. Meanwhile, the owner of the house and the pet cat each rested their heads on opposite sides of the table, watching the glass jar Miss Writer had brought.

Shade was merely craning his neck, while Little Mia had sprawled her entire body across the tabletop. Inside that small cylindrical glass jar were three spiders crawling about.

These were Dorothy's Spellcasting Materials. She was trying to learn a new Thaumaturgy, the Spider Walking Technique, based on the traditional tale "Spider Walker." This Thaumaturgy allowed the caster to walk on any surface. Though its effect was not especially powerful, it concerned a whole series of Dorothy's Thaumaturgy ideas.

After lunch, she would kill those spiders and brew them into a potion. So although the spiders could not have lunch, this still counted as their last meal.

"Come to think of it, since your home doesn't have spiders, geckos, mice, or anything like that, should I release these spiders here?"

The Blonde Young Lady joked, and Shade shook his head.

"No need. Things at home are quite good as they are. Besides Mia and me, the flowers Luvia planted are also growing very well on the windowsill."

That was the effect of Earth Power - Bountiful Domain.

As he spoke, he brushed away Little Mia's paw as it curiously reached toward the glass jar. This cat was sometimes far too curious, especially about little moving things.

"Then let's continue our previous topic. You said you had a strange dream last night?"

Dorothy asked as she returned to the kitchen.
