"What happened?"
Seeing Shade and Miss Sylvia emerge, the girls standing guard outside gathered around as well. Miss Sylvia's assistant, Miss Decter, explained the situation:
"About ten minutes ago, the first rift appeared in the sky. The inside of the initial rift was completely black, and only afterward did a rural scene appear. We have yet to determine exactly where that scene is, but judging by the signs of life, it is from our present era."
"Can ordinary people see it?"
Miss Sylvia asked.
"No, at least not yet."
"Is it related to that large ritual of the Seer Association?"
Shade had guessed as much, but then dismissed the thought himself:
"That was a Divination Ritual. Even if something went wrong, it should not have involved spatial rifts this serious. Things have gotten worse."
Shade had originally intended to return to the Glass City with Miss Sylvia, then go to Green Lake City together that evening for the banquet. With the Spatial Anomaly in the Green Lake Region worsening, even for the Great Witch of Space, opening Teleportation Gates whenever she pleased was no simple matter. Fortunately, when the Witches had gone to great lengths to renovate the Green Lake Inn, they had not forgotten to arrange professional spatial markers in the basement, allowing Miss Sylvia to connect to this place even now.
This way, the Green Lake Inn's role as a base was finally complete.
The strange phenomenon in the sky had thrown all the Ring Arcanists in the Green Lake Region into disorder. Fortunately, apart from the Shattering traces in the sky, no other abnormalities
