That evening, before Shade left Moon Bay, Miss Sylvia and Miss Benanis also arrived at the manor.
Clearly, not letting Shade participate in sunday's operation had been something they had discussed together. The Witches were not rejecting Shade or deliberately throwing a tantrum; they simply believed that Shade did not need to handle everything himself.
Therefore, Shade could only agree to the current plan of action, though he was thinking of answering more quickly on sunday and getting to the battlefield as early as possible.
After returning home that evening, Shade also told the ladies at home about his arrangements:
"This coming friday and saturday, aside from going to Moon Bay every evening to check on things, I'll stay home and prepare for the exam. Oh, Galina, Tifa asked me to bring this to you."
He did not forget to take out the box of pastries Maid had asked him to deliver:
"She said she made them herself."
"Worthy of being my apprentice."
The Duchess said with a smile to Leisha beside her, then reminded Shade:
"Also, you forgot to wipe off the lipstick mark Tifa left on your face."
"Oh!"
Shade hurriedly tried to wipe it off, only to hear the Witch's laughter and Leisha's helpless voice:
"Shade, there's nothing on your face. Aren't you supposed to be clever and intelligent? How could you fall for such a trick?"
The Witch rose, sat beside Shade, and wrapped her arms around his neck. Then she said to Leisha in a showy manner:
"This is one of life's little pleasures. Even if Shade knows it is a trick, he still has to fall for it. Would it be any fun if he bluntly said that nothing happened?"
"Boring."
The Redhead Princess snorted, then saw Miss Galina's arm wrapped around Shade's neck
