The priest's suitcase contained a glass jar filled with a white, viscous gel. The gel itself did possess Whisper Element, though not much.
"This is a derivative of the Sage Level Relic Candela's Tree of Rebirth. Do you know the Tree of Rebirth? Place a damaged or decayed corpse beneath it, and after three day-night cycles, the corpse can be restored to its optimal state."
"It is a very practical function. Though it is not resurrection, restoring corpses is important too. Of course, the tree has its limits. It cannot restore ashes, nor can it restore anything that has been dead for over a thousand years."
The priest introduced it, and Shade knew of this relic as well. The Tree of Rebirth was currently contained by the Nature Church, and it had been mentioned in his textbooks.
As for the tree's negative trait, corpses restored by it were so perfect that they were extremely vulnerable to erosion by creatures from subspace. Moreover, perfect corpses were also Relic Derivatives. Add the bizarre things from subspace into the mix, and once trouble arose, it would never be a trivial matter.
The resin of the Tree of Rebirth was called "Repair Resin." Besides producing an inferior version of the corpse-restoration effect, this Relic Derivative could also serve as glue to repair damaged ordinary items and even Alchemy Items.
With the right formula, the resin's effects could be brought out more effectively. The jar of gel before them was evidently resin specially compounded by Priest Augustus.
"Piece the broken key together, then move the whole thing into the jar until the resin completely covers it."
Priest Augustus explained how to use the special resin, then emphasized:
"If I have not gone senile, the key you mentioned should be restored to its original appearance in
