Wei Ge had guessed Shade's thoughts correctly. Shade frowned and nodded:
"If the Bloodkin technology from the era of the Delinore Kingdom truly shared the same origin as the [Blood Spirit School], then it could explain many things. My Bloodkin friend once said that the Bloodkin of the Arcadia Region were extremely influential during the Delinore era. The Bloodkin members of the [Blood Spirit School] most likely joined them only after Delinore was destroyed."
Shade looked out the window in the direction of Grey Rock Pass:
"This really is a major discovery. If we investigate records concerning the local Bloodkin from the era of the Delinore Kingdom, we might find evidence of cooperation between the two sides. The disappearance of the local Advanced Bloodkin may also be connected to their knowledge of that old history.
"Thinking about it this way, it also explains why the God of Bloodkin issued an oracle and had Wilundell send people to assist Mr. Bernhardt with the local matters. If New Humanity technology truly has something to do with the Bloodkin, then it is an enormous blasphemy to them. Bloodkin do not have mixed-blood descendants, so they have always believed their lineage to be pure. Now humans can use the power of their bloodline to evolve their own race. Even if they have only acquired scraps of it, that is still unacceptable to the Bloodkin."
This discovery resolved some historical questions. Although it currently could not provide any substantive help to Shade's investigation, searching for materials from the Delinore era had become a new direction for inquiry. If someone had recorded exactly what kind of technology the Bloodkin used back then, Shade might be able to discover the weaknesses of "New Humanity technology."
This would become the key to completely defeating the "Weeper of Blood."
