Hiashi left, holding Hinata, and Yoru no Tsuki smiled with satisfaction.

With that, the Uchiha clan—or rather, our family—in Konoha finally wouldn't be isolated and helpless.

Yoru no Tsuki walked back home, only to find the lights on; Fugaku and Mikoto had finally returned after finishing the clan meeting.

"Why did you come back so late?" Fugaku asked.

"I went out to train. Lately I've hit a snag with the Flash Step technique—I just can't get it, so I ended up training a bit longer, and before I knew it it was this late," Yoru no Tsuki replied.

"It's good that you're training, but you also need to watch your health," Fugaku reminded.

"Yeah, I understand."

At that moment, Mikoto brought out three bowls of noodles from the kitchen; the two of them hadn't had dinner yet because of the clan meeting.

"Have some more with us; you must be exhausted after training that long," Mikoto said, sounding a bit sympathetic.

"Thanks, Mother." Yoru no Tsuki placed a bowl in front of himself, then hesitated before speaking, "Um… when I finished training just now, a small incident happened that might cause a bit of trouble."

"What happened?" Fugaku looked up.

"I saw ninjas from Kumogakure kidnap the little princess of the Hyuga clan's main family, so I stepped in and rescued her. Then Uncle Hiashi arrived and killed all those Kumogakure ninjas."

Clack.

As soon as Yoru no Tsuki finished speaking, Fugaku's chopsticks fell onto the table, and Mikoto's face filled with worry.

"Did Sasuke get hurt anywhere?"

"No, Uncle Hiashi arrived quickly, and my strength isn't weak either," Yoru no Tsuki answered, easing Mikoto's concern.

"You're saying you rescued Hyuga Hiashi's daughter from a Kumogakure ninja squad?" Fugaku asked in shock. He was amazed by his son's rapid progress and also realized the benefits of the incident.

"Will this cause any problems?" Yoru no Tsuki asked cautiously.

"Of course not! Even if something did arise, the Uchiha clan could handle it, so you wouldn't have to bear it. Besides, you didn't do anything wrong—in fact, you did something extremely beneficial for our family," Fugaku replied.

Fugaku then praised Sasuke for about an hour, stopping only when Yoru no Tsuki said he wanted to go to sleep.

Meanwhile, the Kumogakure delegation learned of the news, and a wildly absurd negotiation was about to begin.

The next day, Fugaku received an order from the Hokage to attend negotiations with the Kumogakure delegation. At Yoru no Tsuki's request, he went along, saying he would serve as a witness. On the way they ran into Hyuga Hiashi and chatted briefly.

When they arrived at the negotiation room, the atmosphere was tense and solemn. Minato Namikaze sat at the highest seat on Konoha's side, followed by the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi, then Danzo, Orochimaru, and several others.

At that moment, the Kumogakure delegation had not yet arrived.

Fugaku was about to take his seat when Danzo spoke.

"Fugaku, what does it mean to bring your son to such an important meeting?"

Yoru no Tsuki noticed the disdain in Danzo's eyes toward the two Uchiha, clearly inheriting his teacher, the Second Hokage's attitude.

Fugaku ignored Danzo and addressed Minato directly:

"Hokage, before the negotiations begin I'd like to report an important incident that happened last night."

Minato paused briefly, then smiled and said, "Please go ahead, Fugaku."

Yoru no Tsuki watched Minato from the side—this was the first time he saw Minato after inhabiting Sasuke's body.

Seeing him in person, Yoru no Tsuki realized Minato was a bit different from the gentle, sunny figure he imagined from anime. Though he appeared very kind, Yoru no Tsuki sensed a strong killing intent, even surpassing Orochimaru's.

But then he understood: Minato's gentleness was only toward his own people; his reputation among other villages was forged in the Fourth Great Ninja War.

Otherwise, other villages wouldn't have the rule that a flash of yellow light lets you escape instantly.

"Last night, while training in the village, my son saw Kumogakure ninjas abduct Hyuga Hiashi's daughter. He was then discovered by those ninjas and nearly lost his life. If Uncle Hiashi hadn't arrived in time, the outcome could have been disastrous. I hope the Hokage can investigate this matter," Fugaku said after receiving Minato's cue. His words were true, but they omitted the fact that Sasuke rescued Hinata.

"My daughter was almost taken by those Kumogakure ninjas last night. Clearly, they don't respect Konoha!" Hiashi added enthusiastically.

Their statements had been discussed beforehand; since Hiashi owed Sasuke a favor, he agreed to keep Sasuke's strength hidden.

Sarutobi frowned, took two puffs of his pipe, and said, "We're here to negotiate a cease‑fire agreement. Since your daughter is safe, let's set this aside for now. Village peace comes first."

"Fugaku is the same—Sas…Sasuke, isn't he also unharmed?" Sarutobi's eyes twitched when he said Sasuke's name, looking uneasy. After all, his own father shared that name, and he suspected Fugaku named his son to gain an advantage.

Just as Sarutobi finished speaking, the doors to the negotiation room were kicked open, and the Kumogakure delegation stormed in, bristling with aggression.

"Fourth Hokage, what is Konoha doing? We Kumogakure agreed to come negotiate a cease‑fire, yet Konoha's Hyuga clan secretly murdered our people! Do you not want peace?" the Kumogakure ninja shouted, distorting facts and twisting the truth.

They then placed a corpse on the floor, pointing at its wounds: "This clearly shows the Hyuga clan's Soft Fist technique, wielded by at least a Jonin‑level master. If Konoha doesn't hand over the culprit, Kumogakure won't hesitate to reignite the war!"

Hearing this, Hiashi trembled with anger. Although Yoru no Tsuki had known beforehand, the Kumogakure ninjas' brazen, shameless attitude still shocked him.

They were downright audacious— their Raikage had died in the Third Great Ninja War, yet they dared to threaten Konoha, now at its peak, with war if the perpetrator wasn't surrendered.

There are currently four Kage‑level shinobi present from Konoha: Minato, Hizashi, Orochimaru, and his father Fugaku. I really can't understand where those Kumogakure ninjas found the courage.

However, something completely unexpected happened to Yayougetsu.

Sarutobi Hizashi stood up.

"Everyone, please stay calm. Since this has already happened, Konoha will definitely give you a satisfactory response. I hope this won't delay the signing of the cease‑fire agreement."

Yayougetsu knew that Hizashi was relatively soft‑spoken outwardly, but didn't expect that he would be the same even when Konoha was so powerful.
