Coronation (III)
"Your Majesty Keosius!"
In the quiet crowd, a child's voice suddenly rang out. It was unclear whether it was an arrangement by the kingdom's officials or a heartfelt cry from a child who had received the kingdom's favor.
But then, another round of enthusiastic cheers erupted from the crowd, many of whom were planted by the Propaganda Department department.
"The Emperor! The Emperor!"
"Your Majesty Keosius! Your Majesty!"
"For the Great Blueprint of the Red Dragon!"
Amidst these cries, the Red Dragon continued to slowly pass along the wide road.
The guards standing on both sides of the road tapped their spears on the ground with rhythmic thuds. The Wyvern that landed on the ground stretched their necks, raised their heads high, and let out soft whistles.
The Ogre once again pushed the heavy cannons, creating clusters of dazzling, bursting flames above the altar.
And so, under the watchful eyes of hundreds of thousands of people, Keosius easily climbed the nearly thirty-meter-high altar in a few steps, reaching the very top of Istaria.
Keosius surveyed the surrounding landscape, his pale golden eyes gazing down upon the masses below, before finally speaking, "Gentlemen."
"Welcome to the Anzeta Great Wasteland, and welcome to my coronation ceremony."
As Keosius finished speaking, a handsome Human Noble with black hair and golden eyes appeared in front of him, his expression and movements perfectly synchronized with the enormous Red Dragon behind him—that was Keosius's human form.
"Holy crap, His Your Majesty Keosius in human form! That's a rare sight indeed!"
"I'm going straight for my husband!"
"Aaaaaaahh...
This time, before the official Kingdom personnel could react, the players erupted in even more enthusiastic cheers, which were absolutely heartfelt.
"The ceremony may begin."
Ignoring the commotion of the crowd, Keosius calmly gave the order, and the man and dragon on the altar spoke simultaneously.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
His family members got busy.
The Istaria Great Altar has seven levels, connected by orderly staircases, forming a pyramid-like stone structure that represents the current division of power within the kingdom.
At the very top of the great altar was a huge platform carved with mysterious patterns, nearly ten meters higher than the previous level—this was where Keosius stood.
This platform represents the supreme Royal Authority of the Embers of the Burned Kingdom, or rather, the future imperial power.
Dukes Lang Pu, Dolo, Mezhuolash arrived at the altar in turn, and ascended the long staircase step by step to the sixth level of the great altar.
They stood there in their pre-arranged positions, quietly awaiting the next steps of the ceremony.
Following them were seven marquesses, including Alger, Gold Tooth, and Darena, then twenty-four Earl, more than forty viscounts, and over a hundred Baron.
Even those First-Class Citizen who had made contributions received this honor, and were arranged in neat rows to stand at the bottom of the high altar.
"Waaah—"
The Azure Foot Dragon Snake Horn sounded beneath the altar.
By this time, the Istaria Great Altar was teeming with people and banners were fluttering in the wind.
The citizens of the Embers of the Burned Kingdom looked up at the spirited Dragon Blood Noble, marveling and envying them.
People from all over Fei An Suo seemed thoughtful, as this type of architecture was not uncommon on the continent—the most famous being those of the original Holy Fadlan.
No, that's impossible.
"Could it really be the Sun God Pyramid?"
"No, absolutely not, but this is far too important. Even the slightest possibility is tremendous news! I must go back and report to His Majesty."
Dayev stared at the altar, shaking his head repeatedly, his face turning extremely grim.
One hundred and fifty years ago, the great "Sun King" Aragon I built three pyramids in Thrace, Kassand, and Seleucid Region, and then built the most magnificent one Eternal Sun God Pyramid, in the capital of the empire.
On the holy day of the Amanata Church —the summer solstice—rituals were held simultaneously at the Sun God Pyramid in various locations. Amanata bestowed the blessing of sunlight, enabling hundreds of people to "ascend to heaven," which also marked the beginning of the Holy Fadlan Empire.
Now, the coronation ceremony of the Embers of the Burned Kingdom reminded him of the sacred ceremony a hundred years ago.
Although the very idea of this was presumptuous, Dayev couldn't help but connect the two and felt deeply worried about it.
Unbeknownst to him, this was all a deliberate act by Keosius, intended to draw the attention of various countries.
Amid the crowded throng, murmurs and whispers continued to rise.
"The ceremony is about to begin."
"Please keep quiet."
With the help of those specially made sound systems, Lang Pu's calm voice resonated throughout the venue.
At Lang Pu's announcement, and under the oppressive presence of the colossal dragon on the platform, the crowd of hundreds of thousands fell silent instantly, all looking up in awe.
Lang Pu reached out and produced a beautifully crafted scroll that had been prepared beforehand, and slowly unfurled it.
The Ogre stepped forward and shouted:
"His Majesty the Great ' Embers of the Burned King ' Your Majesty Keosius unified Anzeta in just a few short years and wiped out the Frost Giant Tribe in the north. He brought the people of Anzeta a long-awaited peace and stability with his swift and decisive actions—an achievement and feat that no one in this land has been able to match in the past thousand years."
"Therefore, the people of Anzeta unanimously believe that the title of 'King' is no longer sufficient to describe His Your Majesty Keosius's greatness, and he should be given a more noble title—Emperor."
"His Your Majesty Keosius will rule this place forever, and the Embers of the Burned Kingdom Will be elevated to an even greater nation— the Embers of the Burned Empire!"
"Your Majesty the Emperor! The Embers of the Burned Emperor!"
"The Embers of the Burned Empire!"
"Long live the Emperor! Long Live the Empire!"
The moment Lang Pu finished speaking, cheers erupted again from the crowd, and under the watchful eyes of the Tiefling Guard, the cheers were more enthusiastic than ever before.
People standing in the front row had tears streaming down their faces, knelt on the ground in a disheveled state, and some even fainted from excitement—it was unclear whether this was a genuine outpouring of emotion or just the exaggerated script that the Propaganda Department always performed.
"His Your Majesty Keosius's kindness can never be repaid, even in lifetimes to come!"
"Your Majesty, we support you! You have given us a new life!"
Representatives from several clans, including humans, Tiefling, Hobgoblin, Ogre, emerged from the crowd, their expressions filled with immense pride and excitement.
Together they lifted a scroll tens of meters long, made of raw cowhide, and slowly unfurled it on the road—the smooth leather surface was covered with thousands of handprints, claw marks, and even hoof prints.
"Your Majesty Keosius, we earnestly implore you to be crowned! This is the wish of all the people!"
"Yes! I would gladly pay the price of my life if you could be crowned."
"You are us."
"Yes, Your Majesty, this is the only way we can repay your kindness."
Representatives of the clan knelt on the ground, and on the unfolded scroll were written several bright characters—"Petition for Emperor Keosius's Coronation."
The petition was stamped by tens of thousands of relatives, demonstrating that the emperor's coronation was not only a necessity for national development but also the aspiration of the people.
This also proves to the world that, both from a legal and practical perspective, this coronation is beyond reproach.
On the high altar platform, Keosius looked down at the "grand spectacle" below, trying his best to maintain his majestic posture.
"Trying to be awkward, huh? The Propaganda Department went way too far this time, but..."
"The results seem to be pretty good."
Looking at the surprised, fearful, and bewildered faces of the foreign envoys, Red Dragon's lips twitched slightly, and he didn't know what to say for a moment.
It seems that in terms of public opinion and propaganda, this group of players is already far ahead of other regions in Fei An Suo.
