At the Heavenly Court, Bai Ze agreed to withdraw the Demon Clan but asked where they could go, leaving Haotian and his companions without an answer.

• Haotian and Yaochi thanked their Master, but Yuanshi, Laozi, and Tongtian left without helping, while Zhunti offered aid only if he could establish a Western Heavenly Emperor.
• Zu Long and the Other Two offered the Three Tribes’ support in exchange for positions that would help their clans reduce Karmic Sin, and Haotian agreed.
• Haotian granted the Dragon Clan authority over the Four Seas, promised the Phoenix Clan its territory and auspicious status, and named the Kirin Clan messengers of the earth.

Bai Ze led the Demon Clan out of the Heavenly Court, leaving Haotian to take over an empty realm whose Star Power was falling into disorder. As Yaochi went to stabilize the stars, Haotian discovered that surviving Star God Chang Geng was willing to join the Heavenly Court.

• Bai Ze refused Haotian’s offer to stay, warned him to maintain the Zhou Tian Stars and their influence on the seasons, then left the Heavenly Court with Ying Zhao and the remaining Demon Clan members.
• Haotian asked Zu Long and the other two to send people to regulate Star Power, but they said the Three Tribes could not do so and departed for the Primordial Land.
• Haotian refined the Heavenly Court’s control center and learned that stabilizing Star Power required 365 Star Gods or a Quasi-Saint; Yaochi volunteered to suppress it while Haotian built the Heavenly Court.
• Haotian planted the spiritual roots from Xuan Qing and Hongjun in a garden, where a pool of Three Lights Divine Water appeared.

• Chang Geng told Haotian that most Star Gods had perished or needed many Kalpas to recover, and suggested seeking help from Xi He and Chang Xi on the Lunar Star.
• Haotian promised Chang Geng an Enlightenment Pill if his merits became sufficient, then left him in charge of the Heavenly Court and flew to the Lunar Star.
• Xi He emerged from the sealed Lunar Star, and Haotian urged her to seek guidance from her teacher, Senior Wang Shu; Wang Shu then expanded the Formation and used Taiyin power to stabilize the Starry Sky.

Haotian grew angry over the Three Tribes sending heavily sin-burdened members to the Heavenly Court and resolved to become a Heavenly Dao Saint. Meanwhile, Bai Ze rejected Zhunti and Jieyin’s offer to recruit the Demon Clan, and the Saints planned to wait until the Demon Clan was vulnerable.

• Haotian discussed reopening the Heavenly Court with Yaochi and agreed that they should invite the Saints and powerful Quasi-Saints despite his resentment toward Taiqing and the others.
• The Three Tribes sent members burdened with heavy Karmic Sin to the Heavenly Court, and Haotian assigned them to guard the Heavenly River.

• Bai Ze urged the demons to endure Demon Continent’s harsh conditions, but nearly half chose to leave despite his warning that they would have no safe territory elsewhere.
• Bai Ze refused Ying Zhao’s suggestion to destroy the deserters, explaining that the Demon Clan could not afford to lose more members and predicting the Human Race would eventually rise to power.

After learning that his parents had emerged and that the Heavenly Court would soon reopen, he returned to encourage the young Phoenixes and waited for the Heavenly Court’s invitation.

• Yan Ling recognized that Kong Xuan was approaching a breakthrough, and the beings on Azure Nether Island gathered to watch.
• Kong Xuan broke free from the River of Destiny, then was swept into Divine Water Lake by the Chaos Qi near Lakeheart Island before Xuan Qing rescued him.
• Kong Xuan thanked Xuan Qing for helping him follow Great Dao cultivation, and Xuan Qing asked him to congratulate the Heavenly Emperor when the Heavenly Court reopened.

• Bai Yu arrived, confronted Zhunti, and explained that the juniors belonged to Azure Nether Island’s lineage and followed Xuan Qing’s rule against kneeling.

Haotian's authority was divided among four Great Emperor positions after Laozi proposed that he could not manage the Heavenly Court alone. Wang Shu and Qing Yue arrived and blocked Laozi from assigning the Ziwei position to Xuandu, declaring that Zi Wei would be born to govern the stars.

• Yuanshi and Zhunti argued over placing their disciples in the Heavenly Court, while Haotian rejected their offers of help.
• Laozi proposed dividing the Heavenly Emperor's authority among four Great Emperors, and Yaochi accepted the plan despite Haotian's anger.

After Wang Shu and Qing Yue intervened in the division of the Heavenly Emperor’s authority, Houtu received the final Dao Fruit Position and Haotian became the Jade Emperor. Haotian then recruited new ministers to the Heavenly Court, while Qing Yue and her companions left with gifts.

• Laozi gave up Xuandu’s claim to the Ziwei position, but Qing Yue declared that the final position belonged to the Underworld rather than the Western Lands.
• Haotian revealed that the Heavenly Emperor Seal had divided into five portions, including one for Ziwei and an Earth Seal belonging to Houtu; Qing Yue secured the Earth Seal for her.
• The Saints accepted the outcome, and Haotian discovered his new Dao Fruit Position as the Jade Emperor; Yaochi and Qing Yue reassured him.

Wang Shu freed Houyi from his punishment on the Lunar Star, but refused his plea to save Chang'e. Finding the Witch Clan gone, Houyi returned to the Human Race, where Sui Ren Shi welcomed him and asked after Chang'e.

• Wang Shu confronted Xi He and Chang Xi for making Wu Gang chop the laurel tree, then freed Houyi and told him to leave the Lunar Star.
• Houyi asked Wang Shu to save Chang'e, but she said Chang'e had her own fate and could not be saved by her.
• Houyi traveled to Zhou Mountain and found Pangu Hall and the Witch Clan's settlements gone, so he mourned there before heading for the Yellow River Basin.
• Houyi returned to the Human Race, where Sui Ren Shi greeted him and asked where he had been and what had happened to Chang'e.

Houyi learned from Sui Ren Shi about the Witch-Demon War and the Human Race’s rise, then returned to Peach Mountain and vowed to bring Chang'e back. Meanwhile, Tongtian assigned Wudang the Heavenly Court’s Great Emperor Gouchen position after his other disciples refused it, and she asked to bring San Xiao with her.

• Sui Ren Shi offered to help Houyi rescue Chang'e, but Houyi explained that her connection to Chang Xi and Wang Shu made the matter too complicated for Xiao to intervene.
• Houyi told Sui Ren Shi that Chang Xi had sealed him away, and Sui Ren Shi recounted the Witch-Demon War, including the deaths of Di Jun and Tai Yi and the Human Race’s purge by the Demon Clan.
• Houyi returned to Peach Mountain, remembered his life with Chang'e, and vowed to wait for her return.

Ran Deng persuaded Cihang and three other Chan Sect disciples to accompany Nanji to the Heavenly Court, where they planned to avoid antagonizing Haotian and quietly win his favor. At the South Heaven Gate, the Chan and Jie Sect disciples confronted one another, but Fei Ying and Jiang Zhu interrupted the standoff.

• Yuanshi approved Nanji's departure for the Heavenly Court and allowed Cihang, three other disciples, and Ran Deng to accompany him.
• Ran Deng told Cihang and the others that Nanji's appointment had come from the Saints' effort to divide Haotian's authority, and proposed that they deal tactfully with Haotian to gain his support.
• Cihang and the others agreed to follow Ran Deng's advice without betraying the Chan Sect, then joined Nanji on the journey.
• At the South Heaven Gate, Chan Sect disciples led by Nanji met Jie Sect disciples led by Wudang, and the groups began trading insults.

Fei Ying and Jiang Zhu accompanied the Chan Sect and Jie Sect disciples to the Lingxiao Treasure Hall, where Haotian assigned resources as they took up their Heavenly Court posts. The two women settled into the magnificent Imperial Earth Palace to oversee it for Empress Pingxin, while the sect disciples prepared to establish the Heavenly Court’s army and Thunder Department.

• Fei Ying and Jiang Zhu stopped the Chan Sect and Jie Sect from fighting at the South Heaven Gate, then led them to the Lingxiao Treasure Hall.
• Fei Ying told Haotian that she and Jiang Zhu would oversee the Imperial Earth Palace for Empress Pingxin but would not involve themselves in Heavenly Court affairs unrelated to Reincarnation.

Ran Deng and four Chan Sect disciples sought resources from Haotian in exchange for holding Nanji back, but their demands angered him and left him doubting whether the Saint disciples in the Heavenly Court would obey him. Haotian asked Yaochi how to deal with the disciples’ growing authority.

• Jiang Zhu and Fei Ying chose residences in the Imperial Earth Palace and reserved its best residence for Empress Houtu.
• Ran Deng and four Chan Sect disciples told Haotian they would avoid opposing him in future struggles with Nanji in exchange for benefits.
• Ran Deng asked Haotian for an Enlightenment Pill, and Haotian explained that only one remained in the Prehistoric Era after he and Yaochi had each used one.
• Ran Deng apologized and asked instead for flat peaches and Spiritual Tea, but Haotian refused to give them flat peaches and offered Spiritual Tea and Innate Spirit Fruits.
• Ran Deng and the others left displeased, and Haotian summoned Yaochi and Grand White Gold Star to discuss his anger and concerns about the Chan Sect and Jie Sect disciples.

Yaochi went to West Kunlun to recruit Nine Heavens Xuan Nü to help the Heavenly Court maintain order when the Chan Sect and Jie Sect disciples began fighting. Queen Mother of the West agreed and gave Xuan Nü the Enlightenment Pill, while reflecting that she had little hope of advancing beyond the peak Quasi-Saint realm.

• Haotian and Yaochi decided to seek Queen Mother of the West’s help, and Haotian gave up the Enlightenment Pill he had intended for Taibai.
• Yaochi traveled alone to West Kunlun and asked Queen Mother of the West to let Nine Heavens Xuan Nü take a post in the Heavenly Court.
• Yaochi offered Queen Mother of the West the Enlightenment Pill and explained that she wanted Xuan Nü to help preserve the Heavenly Dao’s Order amid conflict between the Saint disciples.
• Queen Mother of the West asked Xuan Nü whether she would go, and Xuan Nü agreed to follow her sister’s wishes.
• Queen Mother of the West accepted Yaochi’s request but gave the Enlightenment Pill to Xuan Nü, saying it would be more useful to her.

Xuan Nü joined the Heavenly Court with three thousand female immortals after the Queen Mother of the West’s Enlightenment Pill helped her break through to the Quasi-Saint realm. As the Heavenly Court expanded its ranks and began operating again, the perfected Heavenly Dao’s rules imposed new restraints on all living beings.
