Arc 37The Tribulation Turns

King Zhou secretly prepared to protect Great Shang as immortals pushed the God Conferment tribulation forward, while Jiang Ziya helped Xiqi grow into a rival power. The deaths of Lady Jia and Consort Huang drove Huang Feihu toward rebellion, just as three figures appeared in his bedchamber.

  • King Zhou sent Li Jing back to Chentang Pass to gather troops in secret, where Li Jing learned of the peace between the Dragon Clan and Nezha before Nezha carried him to the East Sea.
  • Nezha and Ao Guang revealed that Randeng’s Exquisite Pagoda controlled Li Jing, and Li Jing told them King Zhou was preparing Chentang Pass to safeguard the Human Race.
  • Daji arranged for Bi Gan to give up his heart, but King Zhou secretly saved him before Daji caused his death, and Huang Feihu later fled Zhaoge as Xiqi prepared to recruit him.

Arc 38The False Defection and Xiqi War

Huang Feihu’s staged defection carried him to Xiqi while his true body stayed hidden in Zhaoge, as the conflict between Shang and Zhou drew in immortals and the great clans. Shen Gongbao betrayed Jiang Ziya, Xiqi built the Investiture Platform and defeated the Four Sages, and Jiang Ziya ended the arc preparing to face Lu Xiong’s army in a supernatural blizzard.

  • Golden Phoenix gave Huang Feihu a Substitute Clay Figurine, and he staged his flight from Zhaoge while entrusting his wife and sister to her protection.
  • Yuanshi, Zhunti, and Jieyin formed an alliance to send Jie Sect disciples onto the Investiture of the Gods, while Tongtian remained unaware of their agreement.

Arc 39The Ten Absolute Formations

Yang Jian joined Xiqi and helped defeat the Four Generals of the Mo Family, but Wen Zhong’s allies and the Ten Absolute Formations drew the Dragon and Kirin clans into the war. As the Kirin clan sacrificed its members to break the formations, Zhao Gongming entered the conflict and Buddhism chose to send disciples to Xiqi, leaving the struggle for the Investiture of the Gods set to widen.

  • Yang Jian arrived at Xiqi by King Pan’s command, killed the Four Generals of the Mo Family, and rescued Nezha and Huang Tianhua.

Arc 40The Fall of Wen Zhong

Zhao Gongming’s death drew the Yunxiao sisters into the war, where the Nine-Bend Yellow River Formation crippled the Chan Sect immortals before Laozi and Primordial Heavenly Venerate broke it. Xiqi then defeated Wen Zhong and won Deng Jiugong’s defection, while King Zhou prepared to lure Xiqi and the Chan Sect into a trap.

  • Zhao Gongming borrowed Bi Xiao’s Golden Dragon Scissors and drove Ran Deng and the Xiqi forces from the battlefield, but Lu Ya’s Seven Arrows Book left him vulnerable.
