The organization possesses significant knowledge of ancient supernatural history. Henry states that the Night Watchers actively removed titles such as the Rainbow of Yao Bian from public knowledge, concealing information about ancient Higher Beings and their followers 1195.

This secrecy extends to modern investigations. The Night Watchers closely monitor ancient powers, anomalous artifacts, and signs of Madness Fire, raising their alert level sharply when such phenomena appear 1561 2249 2717.

Shangjing investigations

After Night Watcher Qin Feng was killed in Fu Qian’s bookstore, two Seventh Order operatives brought Fu Qian to the Shangjing base for interrogation. The case exposed a stolen materials warehouse, the rogue operative Henrik, and a sealed underground anomaly beneath the base 103 107 108 109.

Yuan Shan later brought Fu Qian into the Forbidden Zone, revealing the scale of the organization’s containment operations and its monitoring of Wen Li’s unusual mental ability 119.

Dunis and the Noise

The Night Watchers heightened surveillance in Dunis amid an unexplained disease and the growing Noise phenomenon, investigating outsiders and suspected Transcendent involvement 598 600.

During Hamadus’ emergence from the sea, Demigod Cassandra revealed that multiple Night Watchers had been deployed. Chervus joined the response, temporarily restraining the God of Noise alongside other defenders 608.

Los and the Gorimshaw incident

Night Watchers in Los investigated Fu Qian’s Gorimshaw identity after he displayed supernatural abilities and became connected to Claire Wesley and the missing Rick Wesley 1451 1459.

Lei Lan and Winona engaged Gorimshaw directly, attempted to use Rick as bait, and mobilized further resources after realizing the threat might involve a Demigod-level illusionist 1455 1459 1465.

Ancient-power investigations
