Nighttime Attack

It was night, and the farm was quiet.

After a day of labor, the humans and Spirits on the farm had all fallen asleep.

But in the woods outside the farm, there were suddenly sporadic sounds.

Before long, a figure dressed in black cautiously emerged from the woods, looking around.

Behind this figure, two more figures, also wrapped in black, came out.

Beside these figures in black were several Magical Beasts. Besides the leading Luxray, there were two Houndooms.

Luxray and Houndoom, these two types of Magical Beasts, have always been very popular with nobles and wealthy merchants due to their cool appearance and powerful combat capabilities.

Near the City of Ambition, there were several farms specializing in breeding these Magical Beast Spirits, so these two types of Magical Beasts were relatively common in the City of Ambition.

However, except for the leading Luxray, which was equipped with Beast Gear, the other two Houndooms were not.

Privately breeding some Magical Beasts was common for nobles, as the price of Beast Gear was too high, making it difficult even for nobles to afford.

Without the help of Magical Beasts, even well-trained knights would be completely unable to snatch a Petilil from Magical Beasts.

The Luxray and Houndoom moved much more lightly, leaping over the wall in one go.

"Houndoom, find that Petilil." Sir Enzo hid behind a tree and said to the Houndoom beside him.

The Houndoom nodded and sniffed the air, twitching its nose.

Through the scent left in the Fruit Grove, it identified the scents of the Luxray, Mukkuru, Cherubi, and the Petilil.

"Found it?"

Sir Enzo rejoiced and immediately had the Houndoom lead the way into the orchard.

Rustle, rustle.

As they walked, the surrounding leaves made rustling sounds.

Suddenly, a bird's cry echoed through the woods, startling Sir Enzo.

He looked in the direction of the bird's cry and saw a Mukkuru perched on a tree, also looking at him!

"We've been discovered!"

Sir Enzo gritted his teeth, lamenting inwardly that he was indeed not suited for infiltration work.

Then, he looked at the Mukkuru with fierce eyes and said, "Luxray, take care of it!"

The Luxray nodded and darted out, gathering electricity in its mouth, using Thunder Fang to bite at the Mukkuru.

Seeing the enemy charge, the Mukkuru showed no fear. White light flashed on its wings, and it charged forward as well.

In mid-air, the Mukkuru and the Luxray clashed.

The Luxray opened its mouth and directly bit the Mukkuru's glowing white wing, releasing electricity instantly.

In an instant, Flying-type energy and Electric-type energy began to collide.

But after only a moment, the Flying-type energy was directly overwhelmed by the Electric-type energy. Current spread from the Luxray's mouth, enveloping the Mukkuru's entire body!

Crackle, crackle, crackle!

The Mukkuru's body was filled with electricity, and its entire body began to convulse!

With a heavy shake of its head from the Luxray, the Mukkuru was flung away, crashing heavily into a large tree.

This Luxray was clearly well-trained; the Mukkuru was defeated in a single exchange!

"Don't waste time, let's go."

Glancing at the Mukkuru lying on the ground, Sir Enzo said in a low voice and quickened his pace into the woods.

He needed to find the Petilil before the farm owner reacted, then take it away from the farm so the Apothecary could concoct a Panacea.

Chirp, chirp, chirp.

But not long after he ran off, he suddenly heard another bird's cry from nearby.

The Mukkuru stood up, trembling all over, spread its wings, and began to gather energy, appearing to still want to fight.

Sir Enzo's steps faltered. He saw the Luxray pounce again. With a simple tackle, the Mukkuru was sent flying again!

Crashing heavily into the tree, it then slid to the ground. The Mukkuru's wings drooped powerlessly, but its head slowly lifted.

"Forget it, let's leave it be. We'll go find the Petilil."

Looking at the Mukkuru struggling to get back up, Sir Enzo felt a pang in his heart and held back the Luxray that was about to charge forward.

The Luxray nodded, gave Mukkuru a deep look, and followed the Great Wolf Pokémon ahead, running towards where the Petilil was!

Grrr.

The Great Wolf Pokémon let out a low growl from its mouth, reminding the people behind it that the Petilil was just ahead.

Sir Enzo's spirits lifted. As he ran, he passed through the forest and entered a plain.

And as he took in the scene before him, Sir Enzo suddenly froze.

In an open space, a young man wearing simple linen clothes stood holding a Petilil in his arms!

"Petilil!"

A man in black exclaimed, then his gaze swept to the side of the young man, where a Luxray stood!

Aiven, at this moment, was also quietly observing the three men in black before him. When he heard them call out the Petilil's name, his eyes narrowed slightly.

Meow.

The Luxray beside him growled, looking at the Luxray opposite them. It was the one that had discovered the enemy's presence earlier.
