So-called training meant getting beaten up.

Biscuit did not personally step in. Instead, she had her disciple—Yungu, the one with glasses—spar with Kevin.

According to Biscuit, "Based on your familiarity with Nen abilities, Yungu is about on par with you. The only things he has over you are combat technique and awareness."

So, in her view, even though Kevin was getting pummeled in this kind of fight, he could at least dodge and block instead of being utterly unable to fight back.

By a creek in the wilderness.

Kevin raised a hand and shouted.

Yungu, who had been about to bring down a punch, stopped.

"You're improving quickly." Yungu walked over and handed him a towel.

Yungu spoke helplessly. After thinking for a moment, he scratched his cheek with his index finger.

"But your combat skills really are improving very slowly."

"You don't need to comfort me. You can just say I haven't improved at all."

Kevin spoke while lying on the ground.

A week had already passed since they came here to train.

Yet over that entire week, the only progress he had felt was recovering this body's "memories."

He could feel that smoothness.

Biscuit had returned at some point. She stood beside Kevin with her hands on her hips.

Her expression revealed her displeasure, but her eyes concealed frustration she could not hide.

Because her expectations for Kevin had formed an arc, and because her extremely confident judgment had been wrong.

When she first received the request, she had held certain expectations for Kevin.

Jin was naturally part of the reason.

Before coming to find him, she had also gathered information on Kevin through various channels.

Without a doubt, he was a scholarly sort.

Then that jade Raw Stone still required meticulous, long-term grinding and polishing before it could shine.

Biscuit pointed forcefully at Kevin lying on the ground and made a loud declaration.

Kevin looked utterly baffled.

Yungu, meanwhile, smiled from the side.

At the Training Ground, Kevin fell to the ground once again.

"Don't be discouraged. I'm slow at learning things too," Yungu comforted him from the side.

Kevin waved a hand, indicating that he was fine.

Biscuit, who had been watching the two spar from a rock nearby, stood up.

"Your learning ability is truly terrible. I thought Yungu already learned slowly enough."

Hearing Biscuit's words, Yungu gave an awkward laugh. He looked at Kevin lying on the ground, his expression carrying a trace of gratitude.

During their previous training, Biscuit had constantly lectured him over his slow learning speed.

Now, because of Kevin, those lectures had been transferred away from him.

"But perhaps this is your only flaw."

Kevin looked at Biscuit strangely.

Biscuit smiled. "You seem to have an innate understanding of Aura. You instinctively use it. As for Nen abilities, you have an enthusiasm beyond imagination. That enthusiasm means you almost never become discouraged."

That was an exceptionally rare will and talent, not something that could be seen with the naked eye.

As she finished speaking, Biscuit suddenly flicked a finger through the air.

Kevin instantly rolled half a turn to the side. A crater exploded into the ground where he had been lying.

"Ah!"

Yungu let out a Scream and fell to the ground.

"See? From the very first time I met you, you instinctively used [Ren]. You've practically made it a habit of daily life."

Yungu had already climbed back up. Sitting on the ground, he stared at Kevin in astonishment. He had not known that at all.

Using [Ren] required conscious effort to control one's Aura. It was a relatively advanced combat technique. How could someone possibly maintain it all the time in everyday life?

Biscuit walked over to him and tapped his head with a finger in exasperation.

"Because your fighting style is straightforward, and you're also an [Enhancement Type], his advantage isn't very obvious when he fights you.

If you were a [Transmutation Type] or an [Emission Type], the battle could not possibly be as easy as it is now."

To put it bluntly, in Biscuit's eyes, Yungu and Kevin were both at the stage of two rookies pecking at each other.

Yungu screamed once more, going from sitting to lying down.
