Three Lucky Ones and One Unlucky Fellow (Third Update)
"Why are you always trying to break your brother's defenses?" Jonathan, hearing Clark and Robet's conversation, stepped forward in unison, playfully slapped Robet on the head, and said with a laugh.
"Jonathan! Robet's injuries have just healed, why did you hit him?" Martha was standing nearby, grabbed Jonathan and questioned Jonathan urgently when she saw what he did.
"I didn't use any force," Jonathan said, looking at Martha with a wronged expression. The tense atmosphere vanished completely with this lighthearted banter.
And so, the Kent Family and the Danvers Family temporarily forgot about Robet's injury and Clark's disappearance, and the two families gathered for a meal to celebrate their reunion.
Alex:??? Is someone missing?
Meanwhile, Peter Parker were in a terrible situation. They waited for three days but Kara and Robet didn't return to school. They had no way to contact Kara and Robet, and they didn't dare to appear at school because they were afraid that the Shadowkhan would suddenly appear.
Although the Shadowkhan were only a bit troublesome and tiring for them, they wouldn't pose too much of a threat as long as they were careful.
But it's different for ordinary students and teachers.
If a Shadowkhan were to actually appear at the school, even a casual ninja shuriken could potentially harm their classmates or teachers, or even take their lives!
Therefore, Peter Parker and his friends circled the area around the school, changing locations each day and avoiding crowded places, fearing that the Shadowkhan might suddenly appear, just as Shadowkhan had done before...
However, Peter Parker and his companions did not come away empty-handed during these three days; to be precise, all three of them except Peter Parker made some gains.
First was Lorna. After Pietro had just settled down, he looked at Lorna with some curiosity, or more precisely, at Lorna's Rooster Talisman.
What Pietro initially wanted to know was not whether Lorna could gain superpowers similar to the Rooster Talisman Rooster Talisman after losing it, but rather whether he could still possess the Rooster Talisman's power after having his superpowers activated by the Rabbit Talisman, or even whether the Rooster Talisman could develop new superpowers for him.
After witnessing Robet's battle with Martian Manhunter, Pietro certainly wouldn't complain about having too many superpowers. Pietro would be thrilled if he could develop new ones!
Unfortunately, Pietro was ultimately disappointed. After obtaining the Rooster Talisman Rooster Talisman, he did indeed unleash its power, just like Lorna.
However, Pietro did not develop any new superpowers because of the Rooster Talisman. After losing the Rooster Talisman, he still only had the ability of speed and did not gain the Levitation Power similar to the Rooster Talisman.
Meanwhile, Lorna, having lost the Rooster Talisman, seemed to have been suddenly stimulated. Like Pietro before her, she awakened her own superpower in the blink of an eye. It was an ability similar to the Rooster Talisman, but with some differences, such as the ability to control the movement of everything around her...
After their experiment, Pietro and Lorna turned their attention to Barry Allen, wondering if Barry Allen, now empowered by the Rabbit Talisman, could awaken his own superpowers.
The final test results left Pietro and Lorna slightly disappointed, as Barry Allen also gained the Speed Power, albeit with some differences from Pietro. This proved that Pietro and Lorna weren't the two most special individuals...
"My turn! My turn!" Peter Parker shouted excitedly as he saw Pietro, Lorna, and Barry Allen develop new superpowers because of the Talisman.
Even though Peter Parker himself was bitten by Mutated Spider, thus gaining superpowers, his thoughts were exactly the same as Pietro's. After witnessing Robet's battle with Martian Manhunter, how could Peter Parker not want to have more superpowers to enhance his own strength?
Even Peter Parker thought that if he were stronger, he wouldn't have been so exhausted by just a few Shadowkhan, and might even have had the chance to help Robet fight Martian Manhunter...
Unfortunately, Peter Parker was soon disappointed. The Talisman worked in his hands, but he did not gain superpowers after losing Talisman.
It seems that only Pietro, Lorna, and Barry Allen are special; Peter Parker cannot trigger the hidden power within the Talisman to activate his new superpower.
"It's probably because a person can only have one superpower!" Pietro patted Peter Parker on the shoulder and comforted him softly. "Look at me, I haven't gained a second superpower either. Lorna and Barry Allen can't either. You already have a superpower. If you awaken another one, wouldn't that be unfair to us?"
"But it seems that Robet and that green-skinned monster both have more than one superpower..." Barry Allen weakly raised his hand, offering a different opinion.
"You yourself said that green-skinned creature is a monster. Robet was able to fight that green-skinned creature for so long and even drive it away. Robet himself is a monster too. How can we compare to them?" Pietro said with a shrug and a smile.
"Robet is our classmate! How can you call him a monster?" Lorna glared at Pietro with some displeasure and said.
"Kara can say these things, you can say them..." Pietro instinctively retorted to Lorna, but halfway through his sentence, he saw Lorna's unfriendly expression. Accustomed to being suppressed, Pietro ultimately chose to shut up and did not continue speaking. Instead, he quickly changed the subject.
"Robet and that green-skinned monster possess more than one superpower, but their superpowers don't seem to come from Talisman; they're different from us..."
"Yes! Robet told me that he's different from me. His powers don't seem to be superpowers, but rather a kind of spiritual practice!" Peter Parker said, stroking his chin as he recalled Robet's teachings.
"Cultivation? What's that?" Pietro asked, a hint of confusion in his eyes.
"Cultivation refers to the methods used by ascetics to improve themselves through physical or mental training," Barry Allen, a true academic star with a wide range of knowledge, explained to Pietro.
"An ascetic? That does resemble Robet somewhat. He spends all his time diligently cultivating. According to him, he even meditates during class..." Peter Parker nodded in agreement and said softly.
"So he spends all his time meditating! No wonder..." Lorna nodded knowingly, a thoughtful look in her eyes.
"Speaking of which, now that we've all awakened superpowers, is it still necessary to carry this Talisman around? This Talisman can summon Shadowkhan at any time, which is really disrupting our normal lives!" Pietro glanced at Lorna, who was muttering to herself, and then, seeing Lorna's warning look, quickly looked at the Talisman and changed the subject again.
