Clark's Debut Preparation (Part 4)
After leaving Arkham Asylum, Batman underwent a weapons upgrade that resembled an arms race. Now, he not only has to contain the Shadow Warrior who wreak havoc at night, but also find a way to defeat the Joker!
Or rather, he defeated the Joker who had gained new Dark Power and made him feel threatened!
This is no simple matter. Not to mention that the Joker's style of doing things is difficult to predict, Batman doesn't even fully understand the powers the Joker has gained and can only test them little by little.
Fortunately, neither Batman nor the Joker was in a hurry. They traded blows and clashed repeatedly, seemingly preparing for a prolonged confrontation...
As for Robet, Batman had no intention of seeking him out. Even though Robet knew a lot about those Shadowkhan, Batman preferred to protect Gotham City alone and didn't have the habit of asking for help from others, especially from forces outside of Gotham City.
It's worth mentioning that Batman discovered Robet's identity. After all, Robet hadn't learned the Transformation Technique yet at the time. Batman conveniently helped Robet conceal his identity information and even made a backup folder recording the various abilities Robet had demonstrated.
Meanwhile, Batman also wanted to record possible methods to defeat Robet in it, but unfortunately, the methods were currently blank. Batman's understanding of Robet was no more than that of the Joker, who now possessed new powers, and he hadn't even made any contingency plans against Robet...
Meanwhile, as Batman and the Joker continued their battle, Gotham City's crime rate plummeted. Now, at night, not only were there few ordinary residents on the streets, but even gang members and criminals were nowhere to be seen.
But this doesn't mean the environment in Gotham City has improved; on the contrary, the people of Gotham City have become more fearful during this period.
After all, the noise from those battles at night was just too great, and it had been going on for many days with no sign of stopping. It seemed that it would continue for a long time, becoming a unique sight in Gotham City.
Some unscrupulous capitalists in Gotham City even thought that such scenery might have tourism value and could boost Gotham City's tourism industry, and were preparing to promote it externally...
Unfortunately, these Gotham City capitalists did not succeed. They faced opposition from the Wayne Enterprises Wayne Enterprises, the true behemoth and undisputed pillar of Gotham City.
Robet was unaware of what was happening in Gotham City; if he had known, he would definitely have wanted to get involved.
After Robet handed the Rooster Talisman and Rabbit Talisman to Jackie Chan, he was still waiting for news of Demon Sorcerer and Valmont's counterattack on Section 13. Unfortunately, the news came later than Robet had expected.
The last days of 2008 flew by, and neither Demon Sorcerer nor Valmont had taken any action. In Gotham City, Batman was still testing the Joker's various abilities, and the final battle had not yet taken place.
The Gotham City have even become somewhat accustomed to the battles between the Shadow Warrior and the machines at night, which have truly become a unique feature of Gotham and a topic of conversation among its Gotham City.
Furthermore, the emergence of this phenomenon has significantly reduced the nightlife of Gotham City, forcing many gangs to operate during the day, resulting in their arrests and imprisonment, with some prisons even overflowing...
The ongoing battle between Batman and the Joker has actually spurred Gotham City towards a more peaceful and virtuous society. This is far more effective than Batman single-handedly catching criminals in the middle of the night. It's like the boss and the second-in-command fighting, while the third-in-command dies...
During the Christmas holiday of 2008, the Kent and Danvers families went on another trip together, but this time the destination was a bit special. It was none other than the Savage Island where Kong lived.
This also allowed the Kent and Danvers families to familiarize themselves with the environment beforehand. The Kent and Danvers families adapted quite well to the natural environment, after all, they are small farmers. Seeing such a superior natural environment, they were naturally in a great mood and were even discussing where would be most suitable for farming.
Clark took the time to send his, Kara's, and Robet's spaceships here, hiding them beneath the ruins originally belonging to humans.
Clark said he wanted to turn this place into a Fortress, a place where he could protect his family. At the same time, Clark also expressed his desire to appear in front of the world under a different identity.
"Huh? Clark, you've learned the Transformation Technique?" Robet asked Clark, somewhat surprised, after hearing Clark words.
"No, but I learned something after observing you and that Martian." Clark shook his head, took out a pair of glasses from his pocket, and put them on.
"Look at me, after I put on glasses, slightly change my posture, adjust my aura, and subtly release mental suggestions, don't I become a completely different person?"
"Aren't you still Clark? Your temperament hasn't changed!" Robet looked at Clark, who wore glasses, had a somewhat nerdy air about him, and was meek and submissive, somewhat similar to Barry Allen Clark, and directly called him out.
"If you don't wear a disguise, anyone who knows you can recognize you as Clark! Is that what you call hiding?"
"Yes, I am Clark, and this will be Clark's appearance from now on." Clark glared at Robet, barely managing to maintain his composure. After taking a deep breath, Clark explained softly.
"And when I appear before the world—I mean, when I appear before the world in a different guise—I am in this state..."
Clark instantly straightened his back, removed his glasses, and emanated a soft glow, as dazzling as the sun, yet not as blinding. Instead, it possessed a warm quality that inspired both approachability and awe...
At this moment, suspended in mid-air, Clark seemed like a god watching over the world.
"God of Humanity, Solar Flare." Robet also thought of the prophecy of the Fate Weaver. He also recognized the essence of the power on Clark at this moment. This was Clark's unique use of Solar Flare. Of course, theoretically speaking, Kara could also achieve the same effect.
"While the aura is indeed the same, the appearance and demeanor have changed somewhat. Clark, are you planning to become Superman?"
"Superman? That's a good title. I'll use it for my identity then!" Clark nodded, giving Robet an approving look. He quite liked the title; he hadn't expected Robet to come up with such a name.
Clark even had a strange feeling, as if this title was originally meant for him...
One vote from you, one vote from me, and Superman will debut tomorrow! (0)/
