Family Reunion and a Discovered Bug
"Is it that serious?" Carol was unaware of Clark and Robet's situation. She thought for a moment that she could find Alex quite quickly on her own. Seeing Nick Fury's serious expression, Carol decided to ask Nick Fury for some information.
"It's serious!" Nick Fury nodded. The next moment, some videos appeared on the wall next to him. They were videos of Clark and Robet when they were there. Most of them were of Clark. As for Robet's videos, they were taken when he fought the Hell Demon King.
"Such powerful destructive force! This is... the Hell Demon King?" The videos didn't initially attract Carol, as they were all footage of Clark rescuing ordinary people. It wasn't until the footage of Robet fighting the Hell Demon King and the explosion scene appeared that Carol frowned and began to speak. The video of Clark killing the Hell Demon King made Carol's expression more serious.
It's important to understand that Hell isn't just Hell on Earth; it's also Hell in the universe. Carol has also dealt with Demon from the Hell Dimension in the universe, but even in the universe, Demon like the Hell Demon King are extremely rare.
"We don't know the details either, but their destructive power is already more terrifying than humanity's Ultimate Weapon. We've sent people to contact them, but to no avail. They show no sign of restraint or heeding official advice..." Nick Fury shook his head heavily and said in a low voice, "However, their appearance isn't without clues, at least Superman's was. After you've dealt with them, could you..."
"Yes, I'll come back to you after I've taken care of things at home." Carol nodded, then vanished in a flash. With Carol's promise, Nick Fury felt reassured and finally regained his confidence.
"However, it's been more than a decade since we last met. I really didn't expect Carol to still be so decisive and efficient!" Nick Fury said softly with some emotion, looking at the spot where Carol had disappeared.
On the other hand, Carol reached her destination even faster than Alex, after all, Carol's flight speed was indeed extremely fast.
However, Alex soon appeared before Carol, looking quite different from the Carol she remembered. But in Alex's eyes, Carol was exactly the same as she remembered, except for her clothes and hairstyle.
"Carol!" Alex called out excitedly to Carol. Carol paused for a moment when she saw Alex, then confirmed it before connecting Alex with the image of her from her memories.
"You're really back! That's wonderful! Mom and Dad thought something had happened to you!" Alex threw herself into Carol's arms, her expression filled with excitement.
"I'm sorry, there are just too many things to deal with in the universe. Leading a race to find a way out is not an easy task..." Carol said apologetically.
Actually, Carol didn't know at first that life in the universe would be so difficult. She originally thought there should be many habitable planets in the universe, and that she could just find a habitable planet and settle the Skrull there.
However, most planets in the universe are not habitable. Even with the Skrull ' special abilities, they cannot survive for long on planets where life cannot arise.
Life-bearing planets in the universe are extremely precious. They are either inhabited by native life or developed by advanced civilizations in the universe. How could they be unconditionally provided for the Skrull to live on?
Even though Carol is very powerful, and would definitely be considered a strong figure in the universe, Carol cannot simply seize a planet by force.
Let alone that this isn't in Carol's character, even if Carol did do that, she couldn't guarantee that no one would come looking for revenge against the Skrull. After all, Carol couldn't protect the Skrull every moment. The Skrull themselves only have two or three big cats, and hardly any strong individuals to speak of.
If someone were to actually do something like that, and someone manages to hold Carol back, the Skrull would likely be doomed to extinction. After all, the Kree, the Skrull ' archenemies, are doing quite well in the universe!
For all these reasons, Carol remained in space for fifteen years, only recently having the opportunity to return to Earth for a visit...
"It's good that you're back... Oh, by the way, our family has gained another member!" Alex said with a smile after letting go of Carol upon hearing Carol apology.
"Oh? You got married? I can't believe I missed something so important?" A hint of regret flashed in Carol's eyes. In her mind, the only thing that could mean a new member had joined the family was this; surely it couldn't be that the Danvers had experienced a resurgence of marriage?
"You guessed wrong. My progress in our family is the slowest... Of course, if you weren't making any progress, you might be just as slow as me..." Alex shook her head, looking at Carol with a smile as she explained, "After you left, Mom and Dad found a little girl and adopted her, so you have another little sister!"
"Is it because of my departure?" Carol asked Alex, her eyes slightly dimmed and filled with guilt.
Carol believes she has a clear conscience towards the Skrull and towards the world, but towards her family, Carol admits she owes them a great deal...
"No, that's not true! I'm telling you... never mind, you'll know when you see it. Come on, let's go home now..." Alex quickly waved her hand, looking at Carol and changing the subject, "You've already been home, haven't you? Some things happened, and with Kara's request, we moved..."
"Something happened? Nick Fury didn't help you at all?" Carol asked, frowning, upon hearing Alex's words.
"Nick Fury? The director of S.H.I.E.L.D..? He has something to do with our family?" A look of confusion flashed in Alex's eyes as she subconsciously asked the question.
Alex didn't have a good impression of Nick Fury. Even though they didn't have much interaction, she had heard from Kara about Nick Fury's actions towards Clark and Robet, the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D..
In Alex's eyes, both Clark and Robet were practically family. Naturally, she wouldn't have a good impression of Nick Fury Nick Fury targeting them. She just didn't understand why Carol, who had always been in space, would be connected to Clark Robet.
"Okay, let's not talk about it for now, let's go home!" Hearing Alex's words, Carol's eyes flickered slightly. She touched her phone in her pocket, but ultimately said nothing more. Instead, she picked Alex up and said with a smile, "You probably haven't experienced flying before, have you? I'll show you..."
"Alright, I'll show you the way!" Alex found it a little funny. She had originally planned to tell Kara about Kara and the others, but now she thought it would be very interesting when Carol met Kara. So, Alex held back and let Carol carry her into the air.
"..." On the other side, in the base, Nick Fury frowned. The phone he gave Carol not only had eavesdropping capabilities but also location tracking, but Carol was just too fast. Just when the location tracking finally locked onto Carol's current location, Carol changed locations again.
"Huh? Where is everyone? Why isn't anyone here?" Near Danvers Farm, Alex looked at the empty farm around her, a look of confusion flashing in her eyes, before she thought of the Savage Island.
After all, it's understandable that Clark and Robet were absent, but the absence of the Kents and the Danvers could only mean they went to Savage Island; it couldn't be that something happened to them, could it?
"Carol, I'll show you the way, you take me there..." After regaining her senses, Alex looked at Carol and said with a smile.
"Hmm?" A hint of confusion flashed in Carol's eyes, but she nodded nonetheless and followed Alex's directions toward the Savage Island.
Alex didn't remember the exact location of the Savage Island, but she remembered the general area. After all, she had been there many times before, and she was sure she could find it eventually, especially since Carol was quite fast.
"Why is she gone again?" Nick Fury, on the other end of the line, looked at his phone's location tracking, a hint of confusion in his eyes. "Is Alex's house far away?"
Before Nick Fury could say anything, the cell phone signal suddenly dropped. Both the sound and the location were completely lost, because Carol had already entered the fog outside the Savage Island.
"Where is this place?" Carol subconsciously slowed down in the mist, cautiously looking around before asking Alex in a low voice. She wasn't afraid herself, but mainly worried that if something happened, she wouldn't be able to take care of Alex.
"It's alright, just keep going!" Alex said with a smile, not intending to explain for the time being.
Hearing Alex's laughter, Carol subconsciously frowned. She felt something was off, but she couldn't figure out what the problem was. It couldn't possibly be her sister trying to harm her, could it? Even after being away for fifteen years, Carol couldn't believe such a thing.
Therefore, Carol finally sped up and flew into the mist, whereupon a completely new world opened up before her.
"What is this?" A hint of surprise flashed in Carol's eyes. She hadn't expected that such a completely different world would be hidden behind the mist.
"Huh? Who's this? Came with Alex? Has Alex been kidnapped?" At the same time, Robet frowned inside the spaceship, looked in Carol's direction, a thought flashed through his mind, and then he disappeared from the spot in a flash.
Clark and Kara quickly located Carol and flew towards Carol.
"Hmm?" On the other side, Carol was somewhat distracted by the new world of the Savage Island, also sensed the approach of Robet and the others. A hint of caution and seriousness flashed across her face.
"Wait, don't misunderstand!" Alex reacted quickly, or rather, she had been prepared since entering the Savage Island, so she hurriedly shouted, fearing that Carol and Robet and the others would fight.
"Hmm?" Upon hearing Alex's words, Carol and Robet, who had just flown over, all stopped and looked at Alex Carol was holding in her arms.
"Kara, this is Kara." Alex quickly introduced them, "She's Carol, our sister..."
"Huh?" With Kara's exclamation, the battle was temporarily suspended, but Carol's gaze fell on Clark, Clark was still wearing Superman's Battle Suit, albeit a simple Battle Suit that Clark had made himself.
However, Carol quickly lost interest in the matter because she saw the Danvers. They hadn't seen their eldest daughter for fifteen years, and the Danvers were in tears. This made Kara feel emotional; today was truly a special day.
Not only did Jor-El appear before them in the form of artificial intelligence, but Carol, the eldest daughter of the Danvers Family, also returned from space. In this way, the two families could finally be considered truly reunited.
"You have listening devices on you." Just as the family began to speak, Jor-El suddenly stared at Carol and said, "However, this Subspace shields all external signals, so you haven't been tracked. And I checked, it's a listening and positioning device with Earth-level technology. At the speed you demonstrated earlier, the other party could only hear a little bit of conversation at most..."
"..." Upon hearing Jor-El's words, Carol took her phone out of her pocket, her expression slightly darkening. She suddenly felt that after so many years away, Nick Fury seemed somewhat different from the one she remembered.
Carol had only some suspicions before, but now that Jor-El had examined the device in the phone, Carol's initial doubts naturally began to solidify.
Especially Carol Nick Fury's earlier statement that Superman and the Saiyan were a threat, Carol now had to reconsider her views.
After all, Saiyan Carol didn't know it was Robet, but the Superman suit was on Clark's body. How could Carol not know Clark's identity?
"Nick Fury ..." Carol muttered to herself, startling Clark and Robet who were standing nearby.
"That black- Nick Fury?" Robet raised an eyebrow. Robet did have some recollection of the name, after all, this guy had schemed against him before and given him a nickname. Robet had absolutely no good feelings towards him.
"A black Nick Fury?" Carol was taken aback by Robet's words, then laughed, because she felt it was quite a fitting description.
