Mephisto: I've Been Hooked?
"Kamar-Taj? So it was them?" A look of understanding flashed in Robet's eyes. He had never dealt with Kamar-Taj before, but Clark had met with people from Kamar-Taj before, and it was precisely because of their cooperation that the number of Demon on Earth had been reduced by a large margin.
Although Gabriel's appearance and mischief led to a slight increase in the number of Demon on Earth, it is still generally within a controllable range. Therefore, Robet is certainly curious about Kamar-Taj. However, Robet did not expect that there would be an Infinity Stones in Kamar-Taj, which made Robet even more curious.
"Alright, I've almost finished eating. It's time to go back to sleep. I'll come find you to play again when I wake up!" Just as Robet was pondering Kamar-Taj, Galacta shook her head and looked at Robet, saying softly.
"You're leaving already?" A hint of surprise flashed in Robet's eyes. Galacta was only staying for the duration of a meal, and it was as if he hadn't been a good host. "How about I show you around?"
"I'm not really interested in these things. Dinosaur meat tastes good; in terms of taste alone, it's the best food I've ever had. You have great potential as a chef!" Galacta waved her hand, her figure gradually disappearing from the spot, leaving only her voice echoing, "I'll still come to find you next time I have the chance..."
"How did it disappear? I don't understand at all!" Robet's eyes flickered slightly as he watched Galacta vanish. From the moment Galacta said she was leaving, Robet had been focusing all his efforts on Galacta's location, but unfortunately, Galacta seemed to have melted into this world, disappearing without a trace in an instant.
"Has she left?" Clark appeared beside Robet quickly, and Carol also rushed over. Although Clark had said he would no longer pay attention to Robet, it was clear that Clark was still secretly observing Robet and Galacta.
After all, such a powerful deity has a personality that is somewhat different from what humans know. Clark was worried that if Robet really clashed with her, he would be in danger, so naturally he couldn't just ignore Robet.
"Hmm, they're gone. It seems that even the gods of the universe aren't as free as we imagined!" Robet, saying with a touch of melancholy.
"Cosmic deities? The Celestials? Is that girl a member of the Celestials?" Carol's eyes flickered slightly, as if she had thought of something, and she said softly, "I've heard that many planets in the universe have deities, just like the many pantheons on Earth..."
"But above the Tamagami, there are even more powerful beings. They call themselves the Celestials, and it is said that life on many planets was created by them, or perhaps they are just products of their experiments!"
"The Celestials? An experiment? It shouldn't be, right?" Robet raised an eyebrow. He had heard from Galacta that her existence was related to the rules of the universe, so she should be a cosmic deity similar to Beerus, but perhaps not that powerful, or perhaps she hadn't shown it yet.
As for the Celestials, who are gods above Tamagami, based on the information Robet currently has, they should be inferior to the cosmic gods. After all, Zeus, the All-Father gods, said that he withdrew from the Earth Dimension after a fierce battle with the Celestials, and according to Clark, All-Father's strength was on the same level as Zeus's.
Clark is clearly unable to withstand Galacta's power. If the Celestials possess similar abilities to Galacta, then the battle between the Tamagami and the Celestials shouldn't be considered so devastating...
"I think I just heard that she's coming again?" Clark wasn't particularly interested in Galacta's identity; he was just troubled by Galacta abilities.
"Yes, she needs to sleep to survive because of hunger and the inability to replenish her energy. It's quite pitiful. Sometimes, even high-level gods like her can't necessarily gain freedom, because while they possess power, they also have their own responsibilities..." Robet and said with some emotion.
"Poor thing..." Clark and Carol exchanged a glance, speechless for a moment. Such a terrifying god was described as pitiful by Robet. Anyone who didn't know better would think that Galacta, like her appearance, was just an immature girl!
"By the way, Kara doesn't know you're here. Are you prepared?" Clark shook his head. Since Robet Galacta, he was too lazy to interfere. But Clark quickly thought of something else and looked at Robet with some interest, asking him telepathically.
"Don't try to fool me into going looking for Diana!" Robet glared at Clark, then transmitted his voice righteously, "Even if I do go, I won't hide it from Kara. But you, you didn't actually go looking for Lois while you were away from the Savage Island, did you?"
"..." Clark opened his mouth, a hint of shame flashing in his eyes. He really hadn't planned to go, but Lois had called him many times, and for some reason, Clark was very sensitive to Lois's voiceprint. In addition, Lois said that someone from the military had asked her why she disappeared, so Clark was a little worried. So he finally went to see Lois.
Of course, Clark did not meet Lois as Clark. Even though Lois had said that she wanted to see him as a human, Clark still stuck to his principles and did not actually let Lois know his human identity!
"Hehe, I hope you can hold on until the day you're exposed..." Robet chuckled upon seeing Clark's reaction, offering his heartfelt blessings.
"What are you two doing? It feels like you're talking about something." Carol asked Robet and Clark with a hint of suspicion in Carol eyes when she saw Clark Robet were not speaking and were just silently watching each other.
"Oh, it's nothing. By the way, what was Nick Fury's reaction after we left?" Robet waved his hand. The secret between brothers definitely couldn't be known by Carol. If Carol knew, Lana would probably find out soon too. Even though Carol wasn't a gossipy person, she might not be able to hold back on something like this. Therefore, Robet decisively changed the subject and asked.
"I don't know what choice he will ultimately make, but he promised not to bother your friends and family, so he should be able to keep his promise..." Carol sighed softly, looking at Robet seriously, and said, "If, and I mean if, Nick Fury really does break his promise this time, then you don't need to consider my feelings anymore. Just do whatever you're used to!"
Carol knew that Robet was able to let Nick Fury go this time entirely because of her, but in retrospect, before today's fight with Robet, Carol and Robet weren't even that close. Robet was mostly giving Kara face because of her status as Carla's sister.
Carol didn't want to damage the family's relationship because of an outsider like Nick Fury. Besides, if Nick Fury could break his promises, Carol wouldn't stop Robet from dealing with him.
Upon hearing Carol's words, Clark's eyes flickered slightly. He hesitated for a moment, wanting to say something but ultimately choosing to remain silent.
Carol was unaware of Robet's modus operandi and had never witnessed Robet ruthless side. She might have thought that Robet simply enjoyed fighting and wouldn't kill the weak.
But Clark knew that if Nick Fury really crossed Robet again, then with Carol's words, Nick Fury would definitely be dead. However, at that point, Nick Fury's official status would be in trouble...
Of course, even knowing these things, Clark had no intention of stopping them. Just as Clark had once told Robet, the two brothers had different styles of doing things. Clark might not side with Robet, but he would never force Robet to change his mind...
Furthermore, if Nick Fury were to provoke Robet again, it would be considered a deliberate act of wrongdoing. At that point, even if Robet killed Nick Fury, it could only be said that Nick Fury had a just cause for his death!
Clark simply felt that Nick Fury's identity was a bit of a hassle due to his death, and he wasn't going to be soft-hearted and domineering for such an ambitious politician!
"Don't worry, if he doesn't provoke us, we won't bother with him!" Robet glanced at Clark, understanding Clark thoughts, and smiled at Carol.
"I've explained your situation to Nick Fury in detail, but I don't know how much he'll actually take to heart. After all, we're friends, and I'll still help him with anything outside of your relationship. But if he really has designs on you, you don't need to consider my feelings..." Carol said solemnly to Robet and Clark.
"After all, compared to Nick Fury, an old friend who has become somewhat estranged, family like you is more important. I absolutely cannot stand by and watch something happen to you!"
"And I must warn you, if your identities are exposed, don't take any chances. Given their style of doing things, they're capable of using any means necessary!"
"Don't worry, we know!" Robet nodded with a smile, then looked at Clark and said softly, "With Clark's overpowered abilities, it won't be so easy for them to scheme against us..."
"Yes, I will handle these matters!" Clark nodded and promised earnestly.
"Alright, let's continue improving the base equipment. What do you guys think?" Carol smiled and looked towards the base on the Savage Island before asking.
"I'll stay and help. Robet, if you're not going to help, then don't cause trouble!" Clark said, looking at Robet with some disdain.
"Heh, I think some people just want to hide here and escape some things..." Robet pursed his lips, not saying it to Carol's face, but teasing her through telepathy.
"..." Upon hearing Robet's words, Clark once again chose to remain silent, because that was indeed his plan.
Clark dared not tell Lana about Lois, especially since there was actually nothing between him and Lois. The problem was that when he heard Lois calling his name, Clark felt an extremely strong urge to go to her.
So during this time, Clark either had to stay on the Savage Island or go out and rescue others as Superman. This way, while having the desire to save people, Clark was also able to maintain his composure and not be influenced by Lois's voice.
Of course, Clark had a third option: to stay by Lana's side, so that Clark wouldn't be affected by Lois's voice. However, Clark felt that this might be unfair to Lana...
"I'm leaving now, call me if you need anything!" Robet saw that Clark had fallen silent and instantly knew what Clark was thinking. He shook his head, too lazy to mock Clark anymore. After all, he hadn't even sorted out his own affairs yet. So Robet waved his hand somewhat listlessly and disappeared from the spot in a flash.
"What's wrong with him? He doesn't seem very interested. He was fine during the battle and when he was talking about the Infinity Stones. He was also quite normal when he was eating the Dinosaur..." Carol looked in the direction Robet had disappeared and asked Clark with some confusion.
"He must be missing Kara and eager to get back, right?" Clark shrugged, showing no sign of anything amiss.
"Ha! It can't be that bad, can it? It's only been a short time since we separated. Even in the honeymoon phase, this isn't normal, is it?" Carol pouted, muttering with some dissatisfaction, but didn't pursue the matter further. After all, she couldn't very well call Robet back and ask him if he ran away because he missed Kara, could she?
Of course, if Robet were indeed called back and asked such a question, Robet answer would be equally firm, "Yes! That's exactly it!"
Soon, Robet quickly returned to the normal world space and went back to Kara. What Robet didn't know was that when he reappeared in the normal world space, Mephisto was still playing games with the Joker, was stunned for a moment.
Previously, when Robet entered the Savage Island, Mephisto suddenly lost track of Robet, which made Mephisto both angry and wary.
After all, a being capable of disappearing from space is no ordinary character. Furthermore, Robet's constant calling of Mephisto's name made Mephisto momentarily wonder if he was being entrapped by Robet.
After considering this possibility, Mephisto became somewhat less focused on guiding the Joker forward, and almost had his direction swerved by the Joker. Fortunately, Mephisto quickly regained his composure, stabilized the Joker's situation, and then turned his attention to Robet's matter...
